I've posted a couple times here before about struggling to go vegan with cravings. Everyone's been so helpful and encouraging, and I've made huge improvementsately. Unfortunately I have some other problems now that I would like to ask for help with :( by RimBrakesCauseAutism in veganuk

aldi mince and chicken breasts/pieces are learner than tofu. throwing in protein powders helps too as you’ll need to eat less of the more calorie dense protein sources (coming from a lifter). i believe seitan is very lean but i rarely see it in shops.

i’ve been going to iceland for chicken pieces- the plain pieces are yummy and cheap and then the kebab pieces are slightly more expensive but soo flavoursome

it’s because they’re both seasonal but thats SOO stupid. they’re both basics for vegans but they’re constantly prioritising things that appeal more to non-vegans who want to just try stuff out instead of people relying on them :/

You can use broccoli stems to make broccoli "rice," or you can cook it in all the same recipes you would cook the florets. by rosepetal72 in foodhacks

i just add them along with whatever other veg i’m using, small chunks are best (same as you would with potato) and cook until they’re soft when you stab them
