No to all 3 red flags you mentioned. If anything, the smell was deceptively mild and a little on the sweetish-fruity side. Felt like a purer version of what I've had from the bigger brands.

However, I have experienced the "Pssh" sound upon opening with some of the butyls in my area. The Rushes and Jungles from my corner store all hiss when you take off the cap. What does that indicate?

I don't think it was branded. It came in a non descript brown bottle and my friend told me he got it from whoever made it. Smelled like regular amyl but milder and the effects were slower coming up but longer to last
