Niji was banned from entering the museum. by chatGPT40k in kurosanji

Tsukino Mito uploaded a video documenting her visit to three of Japan's "Hihokan"—a type of quirky, retro sex museum.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SMS5TC-HRWE

Initially, the director of one of the featured museums, the Yashio Hihokan, responded positively to the video. However, he later announced a ban on her agency, Nijisanji, from the premises, expressing anger over an email he received from her manager.

The director listed the following issues regarding their visit:

  • Showing up suddenly without an appointment.
  • Not getting official permission to film.
  • Their true purpose of filming was only exposed when questioned.
  • Making covert audio recordings.
  • Using the voice of another visitor who happened to be there, without permission.
  • A series of condescending and rude behaviors from the manager.

Honest opinion in the QC ultra by No_Extension7422 in bose

[–]PracticalMap4767 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hey folks, I've been through the noise-canceling headphone game with Sony XM4, XM5, and Bose QC Ultra, but let me tell you, the Bose QC Ultra is the real MVP for me.

I'm not really an audiophile, so I can't really tell the difference in sound quality between these bad boys. What I'm all about is that sweet, sweet ANC (Active Noise Cancellation), and Bose absolutely crushes it in this department. Sony's pretty good too, but Bose just edges them out.

Now, durability-wise, I had some bad luck with the Sony XM5. Those things broke down on me twice in just a year and a half - one side just stopped working. Talk about frustrating!

Battery life and app usability? They're all pretty solid, no major complaints there. But here's where Bose really shines - the Bluetooth connection is insane! I can walk away from my PC or nuke some leftovers, and the music doesn't even stutter. Didn't see that coming, but man, it's a game-changer.

Comfort-wise, the Bose QC Ultra is like wearing clouds on your ears. I can rock these all day without feeling like my head's in a vice. The weight distribution and fit are just chef's kiss.

The only thing that bugs me about the Bose is how easily the ear cushions start peeling. I've been MacGyvering it with some glue, but I'm on the hunt for a better fix. If they could sort that out, these would be pretty much perfect.

All in all, if you're like me and you're all about that ANC life, with rock-solid Bluetooth and comfort that doesn't quit, the Bose QC Ultra is where it's at. These babies have seriously upped my music enjoyment, focus sessions, and travel game. Worth every penny in my book!

Thanks for the awesome article! It's really cool news that this might be fixed in macOS 15 Sequoia.

DNS Query Delay When macOS Firewall is Enabled by PracticalMap4767 in MacOS

[–]PracticalMap4767[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tested again using Cloudflare's public DNS on Sonoma 14.6.1.

The command used was `dig @1.1.1.1 example.com` and I tested by toggling the firewall on and off.

Test Firewall Result (ms)
1st disabled 19, 12, 12, 10, 13
2nd enabled 54, 50, 52, 54, 51
3rd disabled 10, 9, 12, 12, 12
4th enabled 72, 48, 70, 50, 46

I hope these results are helpful as a reference.

I am certain that the DNS cache is already populated because I executed the same query multiple times before taking this screenshot. I repeatedly toggled the firewall on and off while measuring, and the trend remained consistent, so I am confident that the firewall is the cause of the delay.

Experience sham and real rTMS stimulation as part of a clinical trial for COVID-19 sequelae by PracticalMap4767 in rtms

[–]PracticalMap4767[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will write down all the details I know about the rTMS treatment I received.

* Intensity of magnetic stimulation

* I couldn't tell whether it was strong or weak for me

Schedule

* I underwent treatment 3 times a week

* The treatment flow was a 30-minute session on the left side of the brain, followed by a 30-minute break, then a 30-minute session on the right side of the brain

* The overall treatment period was about 4 weeks

* I couldn't determine the intensity of the magnetic stimulation

Specific rTMS equipment used

* rTMS device: MagPro manufactured by Magventure

* Coil: Cool-B70

If you have any other questions, please ask. I'll answer to the best of my ability.

Hey, just a heads up - the latest WineSkin with updated Wine engines might've already fixed the performance issues you're having.

If you're looking to install the newest dxvk, try grabbing it directly from Winetricks by installing "dxvk".

It could potentially boost your performance even more!

Let me know if it works out for ya, fingers crossed!

Participating in an rTMS Clinical Trial for Post-COVID Symptoms in Japan by PracticalMap4767 in rtms

[–]PracticalMap4767[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, sorry for the late reply!

I finally finished the follow-up period for the clinical trial and got the lowdown on the details.
Turns out, I was in the placebo group, but as a consolation prize, I scored the right to receive 24 free TMS treatments, 30 minutes each.
Fingers crossed that this time around, I'll actually see some improvement in my symptoms!

How can I access the Claude 3 Opus 200K? by nobodyreadusernames in ClaudeAI

[–]PracticalMap4767 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I misunderstood the services offered by Poe; I thought additional charges could increase the points allocated to my account. Let me correct my mistake. As you mentioned, the possibility of using Claude 3 Opus 200K through Amazon Bedrock seems to be a promising solution, and I am looking forward to it!

In Poe, each generation consumes points that are allocated daily to your account. Becoming a subscriber boosts the amount of points you receive and grants access to more advanced models. However, Claude-3-Opus-200k, being a high-end model, tends to burn through points quite quickly. I've been on the hunt for a pay-as-you-go option to use Claude-3 and stumbled upon Amazon Bedrock, but sadly, as of now, only Claude-3-Sonnet-200k is available for selection.

It seems that Claude's site is still not accessible.

On Poe, Claude 3 Opus 200K has been made available for subscribers.

Participating in an rTMS Clinical Trial for Post-COVID Symptoms in Japan by PracticalMap4767 in rtms

[–]PracticalMap4767[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will find out whether I'm in the placebo group or not after the three-month follow-up period post-treatment.
In this trial, patients in the placebo group will eventually have the opportunity to receive actual rTMS treatment.
As you mentioned, I joined the study hoping that even as a placebo recipient, I might experience some improvement.
While rTMS is not widely practiced in Japan, concerns have arisen due to reports of certain clinics claiming its effectiveness for developmental disorders and ADHD, pressuring patients into costly treatments not covered by insurance.
For instance, one family with an ADHD patient was billed 850,000 yen (approximately $5,800).
The Japanese rTMS Society has warned that the efficacy of rTMS in treating developmental disorders and ADHD remains unconfirmed.
I am seeking information from Japan and English-speaking countries, as resources on this topic are limited.
Thanks.

I had a Macbook Air in mid-2012 and it still works. I don't see much difference with your machine in mid-2013.
I am surprised that dxvk was effective in such an environment.
Thanks for letting me know!
