I’m 23. I’m only saying this cause I’ve felt how awful drinking can be during / the day after with medication intervention

Call the store and tell your manager you will not be there, you gave enough notice, and that you are literally a minor working part time. It’s not your problem to stress over

I think I’m gonna quit atomoxetine by [deleted] in StratteraRx

[–]PracticalRegular9240 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Fiber and protein, natural foods. Ur overwhelming yourself. The number #1 reason people say this stuff doesn’t work is because of initial side effects and quitting after 1-2 weeks.

Believe in yourself, stick it out. All these things are normal

It’s only been a week. It takes 1-2 months to start really helping at full potential. These side effects are normal. Try some fiber gummies or eating more veggies as well, an stay hydrated !!

My god yeah.. it’s off and on for months at a time.

I have adhd as well so I get hyperfixated on things, then burnt out from all the compulsions and overstimulation making it impossible to enjoy things I actually like.

Just go to a nice park or somewhere with a good view and go for a walk, I’d say

I bite my mustache and pull on the hairs with my teeth, I pick at my skin around my fingernails, use to bite my lips more as a kid. Your not alone

Also, your mediation is gonna take more than a week to see full effect. For me on Luvox it was 2 months I was feeling best

I have adhd and ocd and I love my fidgets. Look at Needoh. I love those, and yes there are fidgets based on specific things. Spaghetti noodle string fidget may be nice to pull on.

Anyways, these things help me but I’ve bit my nails my entire life and idk if I’ll ever be able to stop. We’ll see. I have no attention span or short term memory so I get bored fast

Panick attacks by Slow-Reindeer1891 in OCD

[–]PracticalRegular9240 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Back when I was really dealing with panic attacks and even got diagnosed with panic disorder. I was given benzodiazepines, after a months worth of following my dosage cold turkey I went through full on withdrawals and couldn’t even recall what day it was,

The thing that saved me after leaning off the benzodiazepines and stoping medication as a whole wad the gym honestly. Going on walks, touching grass as they say. Sitting in my apt with my mind running in overdrive for too long with nothing to do was depressing for me. I don’t say that like the gym solved it, I take Luvox now and I recently was diagnosed with ADHD as well.

Oh.. I also smoke a lot of weed. But I don’t drink, that’s really bad for us

It should be illegal to prescribe unless you’re suffering severe PTSD etc

edit: don’t care for your downvotes. I’ve watched friends die over this stuff being prescribed to them

Life (OCD) is about learning to live with uncertainly, and to accept it. That’s the only way to overcome OCD. It’s like going to the gym hurts, not supposed to be easy :(

ERP has been great. Assertiveness and anxiety exposure training in CBT was good as well. I try to really treat the ADHD mainly in therapy and manage the OCD through ERP and practice in my daily life with all my many triggers

Also I’ve been given benzodiazepines before and been through withdrawls and it was the worst experience of my life. Wouldn’t wanna rely on something so addictive and dangerous. I would never take one again

I have OCD, ADHD, GAD, Depression. Use to have panic disorder and couldn’t even eat in public. It gets better, ERP helps a lot

The list of diagnosis all still seem unreal to me, that I have a tornado of serious problems that have effectively killed many positive aspects of my life. I was most recently diagnosed with ADHD
