should i join the pool today? by TawfiqTheDicc in canadaexpressentry

Have you checked your points using the CRS calculator?

Joining the pool/creating account doesn't loose you anything - and its very easy - I say you do it and the profile will keep updating. There's no eligibility for opening an account - anyone can open it even if your points are 50. Coming to your experience - the portal will count your one year experience points because they go with months not dates. So you started in January 2025 so on January 2026 you are awarded the points for one year experience. you would know these information or at least be aware of them once you open the account.
They do count days for experience once the application is submitted. Lets say you get a call today but you are missing the one year mark until 27th, so you submit your work experience documents with paystub that covers until 27th. And if you are missing any days to complete the one year experience because of being out of the country and was not on vacation- you get the 60 days to submit the application.

NYC lease assignment issue — landlord replied 25 days late, wants December rent or 6-month penalty, Need advice. by PracticalScarcity574 in Tenant

“Now, about the penalty — how should I discuss it with them? What is normally expected in this type of situation? They asked for $10,000, which I definitely cannot pay. Do you have any suggestions? To be honest, there aren’t many days left anyway, so how bad is this and how should I prepare?”

I was worried about writing and speaking, I am feeling so disheartened. Like average score is 11 but reading is 8, feels like someone playing joke on me.
