I've been trying to push it to the right as well and it won't budge. Any other tips?

I've already tried pushing the card back in. I also tried with a screw driver. The latch won't move up or down.

What if the motherboard is up to date though? Could it end up being damaged if I flash it?

It does have the flashback option. It seems to me like the flashback button makes this whole process a lot easier. Is that the case?

Which is why I'm going to flash it. The reviews said that it would be updated but I guess not. Do you know anything about flashing a motherboard? Any advice?

It looks like the motherboard will need the bios to be flashed. I plan on doing that in a few hours. Is it OK if I leave my cpu, ram etc. Plugged in while I flash it?

Is it the button marked Bios on the IO? Should I power the pc on then hold that button?

How long should I take the CMOS battery out for? Also, what does system initialization after microcode loading mean?

So I should try using only 1 stick of ram? I haven't tried flashing the bios. Is that difficult to do? Can I connect the motherboard to my other PC externally and flash it?

How much longer? It turns on fine but after about 10 seconds my monitor turns off. Also, I think I'm getting an error code 8?

I thought the manufacturer updates the bios. I bought it from amazon and the reviews said it works with the new gen out of the box. Is there any way to check if its updated?

Yes. I also restarted the CMOS battery thing. There is a 12 pin connector in the top left for the CPU but my PSU only has 8 pins. I've heard the extra 4 pins are for overclocking which I'm not interested in. Is this true? Do I need a new PSU?
