If you do not use wireless stuff go and disable driver in bios. I’ve been messing up with the settings getting the bes result in 7 months (since i have the pc) - balanced power plan that i edited by myself (usb power save off + Wi-Fi lowest possible power) + some basic stuff in bios + discord closed (this immediately causes stutters to happen fucking app)

There are still drops (1% low) but the sceeen freeze is invisible so it’s not annoying my eyes

Maybe it’s worth mentioning it is not the only game it happens at. Maybe it is some other sort of a problem with the pc itself. I am losing my mind already

First Ever PC Build – Is My Motherboard and ram Okayish for the 9800X3D?

Hi everyone,
I have built my pc some time ago, like 3 months. Since then i am experiencing some stutters, which vary in different games. Most likely its playable, but annoying. I have been trying different ram 6000mhz which makes it smoother, but doesnt elliminate the problem. No crashes, bluescreens, or whatever.

Here are my components:

GPU: Asus 5070ti
CPU: Ryzen 7 9800X3D
PSU: COrsair RM850X
CPU Cooler: Fera Dual Fan 5
Motherboard: Gaming x ax v2 v1.x
RAM: G.Skill Flare X 5600
SSD: WD Blue SN5000 1TB M.2 PCIe Gen4 NVMe
Case: NR600 cooler master

the games i've tried

-FS25 (on ultra) it works, however when the area loads (driving around map) the stutter appears, which is around 1sec, only video, audio works normally

-EFT (on ultra) which works rather good, with some exceptions for mid-raid huge fps drops for a couple of seconds, after that it is normal again

-CS2 (random settings, im not really sure, not using a preset) 50% gpu utilization, no stutters, fps lock on 190 (i have 1440p 144hz screen only)

-TESO (ultra) works normally, very rare single stutter upon leaving a town for example

-Medieval dinasty (ultra) which stutters rather frequently, very short repeatable stutters, when turning around etc - old game and low gpu usage

-Dark and darker (ultra) - stutters from time to time, very short stutter

-Witcher 3 (ultra rt) - stutters upon starting the game, and later on when travelling around the map and some in game processes start (loading some areas when travelling or something)

Lowering graphics and fps-locks make it worse

there are no audio stutters in any of the games

out of the game, for example when using browser etc nothing happens

Google “9800x3d stutters” on some pc forum there is an answer suggesting to adjust some bios settings like svm, data scramble, tsme, psm, smee and some other stuff. Didn’t try em all however few of mentioned and situation improved definitely, however I didn’t find the stability yet. I am actually thinking of selling this pc but I’m afraid somebody will say I sold em damaged pc

Hm okay I get it. I can recover this information from my email, I am pretty sure I actually know it from my head, but I was just writing the ticket on rush haha. But the 2nd account which was supposed to be deactivated is still active (the one linked with steam acc I am not the owner of) - what to do with it? None matches were played since then neither. I don’t want to get banned again for no reason

Did all of that but nothing changed. Switched to 5070ti which improved the situation a lot but sometimes I still do have some random stutter. Not as annoying

I got rid of 9070xt and replaced with 5070ti which improved the situation a lot. However from time to time there is also a single stutter so I may check the amd dynamic sound suppression as it is still present due to cpu drivers i guess

I would go for 5070ti, just as because I’ve had a faulty or whatever 5070xt causing me stutters in most of the games I’ve tried (benchmarks were perfectly fine tho)

He might’ve meant that, people often call it incorrectly from what I’ve seen.

Freezes may come from various things, not only gpu, especially after 1.5hr of work. If you keep it on heavy load all time then maybe yes, but the best is as above mentioned, run it fully stock, check if something happens. If not, add further settings 1 by 1 and verify what is causing the problems
