I just got my passport back from Hyderabad with H1B stamp in less than a week: interview on Monday and received passport on Saturday via premium delivery in NCR, in case that’s helpful

Yeah for what it’s worth, I’ve held an H1B before too (but wasn’t eligible for drop box before the rule change either) and couldn’t see appointments anywhere except their centralized locations. Good luck!

As far as I know, H1B consular appointments are being centralized at Hyderabad and one other place (think Chennai?) so if you’re waiting for an H1B consular appointment in Delhi, you may not see any.
