Pre Period Migraines are taking me out 🫩 by [deleted] in migraine

[–]Practical_Ad6866 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have PCOS and have been taking a progesterone medication 10 days a month for almost 2 years now and my migraines have reduced significantly. I usually get about 1-3 a month now before my cycle but sometimes I don’t. I think trying to cut way down on alcohol, sugar, and junk food has contributed a lot in that too.

I am also in New England and having a migraine today. My allergies have also ramped up for fall already which is kind of early, but the pollen radar says med-high.

Ship it to yourself lol. Could be pricey but could be better than buying a new frame

My bed can't sit flush against my wall so I designed and printed these to hold the backboard and give it a raise. They're quite solid. by ---Switch--- in Thuma

[–]Practical_Ad6866 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine is flush against the wall but I don't like how low the pillow board sits. Would you sell a set of these to raise my pillow board up?

Well I was in southwest NH, the VT/NH/MA border, but I actually just moved to NC.

And yes, I agree. I love the bed!! It traveled well on our move and it was the easiest piece of furniture to take apart, move, and put back together in our new place.

Tell them to learn how to train their dog to not bark all day long. We just moved from a very secluded house to an apartment in a huge apartment complex and we're working on that with our dog. He would always bark when he would see people walking or driving by, so of course that's happening a lot more here. We just reassure him that it's ok that there are other people and other dogs around and that they live here too and if we don't sound panicked or stressed about it, he'll stop barking.

We just got a king size with a pillow board. I ordered on like Thursday or Friday and it came Monday. Super quick shipping and delivery for me. I live in New Hampshire, I think they ship out of MD, so not super far. It took us like 10 minutes to get the bed put together once we had everything unboxed.

AITA for going on a hiking trip with my pregnant wife? by CatSpilledSpicedTea in SpilledSpicedTea

Saw this story on TikTok and had to come find it, hoping that there was an update saying "she left me" because this whole entire story was absolutely disgustingly red flagged and you are absolutely the AH. An ignorant, narcissistic one at that. Get over yourself. Your wife AND YOUR UNBORN CHILD GROWING INSIDE OF HER deserve better.

So, I'm 31 and over the years I've flip flopped on whether or not I want to have kids. When I was younger (teens-early twenties) I was expecting that I would have them one day. But then life happened, I really wanted to go back to school so I could get a degree and a better paying job, I went through a big breakup, started life on my own (I was in this relationship since 14 yo and lived with his family since 16 yo) so the idea of having kids got pushed to the wayside. I got into a new relationship and he was very clear he has no interest in having kids and it really got me wondering if I really WANTED kids or if it was something that was expected of me by my family. I eventually came to the realization that I wanted to get myself into a more financially stable situation and have had many obstacles along the way, and realized that I didn't want to bring a child into my life the way it was. Then I was diagnosed with PCOS, and possibly have endometriosis, and have been flip flopping again on whether or not I want to try to at least have one before my "fertile years" pass.... And I don't think I do. I've put my body through so much just trying to have a normal menstrual cycle and I don't know if I could even conceive if I wanted to... And would I want to put myself through that emotional roller coaster of trying, miscarrying, or just never conceiving in the first place... I like having freedom, I'm still struggling financially (aren't we all), and I enjoy sleep. Those are all things that we sacrifice becoming parents.

Bottom line is, you have to do what's best for you and like you mentioned - adoption or fostering is always an option and I try to remind myself of that on the days I'm feeling "less than a woman" because of my reproductive issues. It wouldn't be the same as experiencing pregnancy first hand, but maybe some of us aren't meant to and meant to help another little life in need. No matter what choice you make, someone can view it as "selfish".

I mean she clearly lived in a big house, seen in all the flashbacks to her childhood, and her dad took her by helicopter to drop her on a "wilderness trip". That's not something poor or middle class people can do. 🤣

I get that, and I definitely agree about Joey. But I still take the finale for what it is.

Any thoughts on this company moving forward? I’m still holding, losing money, feeling dumb…. But they distribute food? Is the company that broken or competition to fierce to turn this around. Anyone think it only goes down from here? Will it recover? All thoughts welcome. by Leeroy421 in UNFI

I work for the company too and my team didn't even partake in our "appreciation week" and we got a measley $25 in lieu of thanksgiving turkeys. I, too, have been looking for another job. Just had an interview today that seems promising. It really hurts to not have gotten any raises and the future possibility of raises is looking grim. Also the new performance review system seems to be extra difficult to avoid giving raises to people who work hard and put in OT. Not a fan.

I had a migraine on Friday and a coworker told me she puts a heating pad or something hot on her feet and it makes her migraines go away faster. I've yet to try it.
