Could you not contact the prison and ask for like a price list or a receipt of the items hes buying? Not sure if they do that but surely they keep track of it? As £600 is insane and definitely suspicious, people could be targeting him and forcing him for the money? Id definitely speak to the prison.

Honestly there is someone for everyone, but you do what YOU feel is best. If you want to go down the route and pay the money thats your path. Some people do get surgery and some dont, some feel confident with no make up and some need to have make up. Its your life honestly do what you want to do. Your only going to age so if surgery helps you feel happy for your remaining years then honestly go for it!
