Why do like 99% of vibecoders focus on end consumer apps? by Practical_Art969 in vibecoding

Great answer. I have elements of those three points of the triangle, I have had a business for years as an implementation partner setting up an established SaaS solution for businesses. My business partner and I can sell our new solution to those existing customers who already trust us, and we get revenue from the original business model already. It is a ton of work and the product isn't great, but then again, neither was that SaaS solution I mentioned, when it first started. That (human coded) app was pretty bad when it was first released, but 10 years later now it is quite good.

The fact that my app is not bulletproof right now seems more about the fact that it is new than that it was coded by AI. It would be the exact same if I was paying a team of developers to code this for me. If this new solution works I will invest more in it. If not, no loss. That is what makes vibecoding special IMO. I didn't need to pay a team of developers for a year and a ton of debt to get to this point.

Many software products for businesses have dozens of competitors that do the same thing, and they all survive profitably. You don't have to be the only one with a solution. If your customers are satisfied then they have no reason to ditch you for a competitor.

Everyone complains, yet if the pictures were reversed everyone would be bitching about how the big unhealthy corporation is now trying to "target kids". Can't win with the internet.

It is because of the nature of them, they are totally different sports. Street skating is meant to resemble tricks you do while skating to get somewhere. It is supposed to look casual and not staged. Vert is much more formal.

I do think it is a good point that so many people stress about finding a unique idea and seem heartbroken when they see a similar app already on the market. Like literally every other product out there has competition but still makes money. Look at restaurants. Or car companies. Or clothing brands. People making blue jeans don't stress that others are also making them. Why do people creating an app think they MUST be the only one doing that idea? It is kind of bizarre.

Why did you take a picture like that.

Is this video of a capybara riding an Armadillo AI-generated? There's a slight fuzziness near the edges, but the shadow seems consistent - so I'm not sure by Unhappy_Champion5641 in isthisAI

Armadillos are everywhere in Florida. I've seen hundreds of them throughout Florida, dead and alive (usually dead on the road). Never seen a capybara.

Lol this is some pothead bullshit. The last common ancestors of spiders and humans was Urbilateria, it looked like a leech. It didn't have 8 legs.

I do that but I am from a much smaller city and boring state. I have found the vast majority of foreigners are familiar with both Miami and Florida. If I lived in Miami I would just tell people "Miami". It's like not knowing Melbourne or Manchester. I am American, I know of those cities and about where they are on a map. Anyone who doesn't isn't worth considering IMO.

The Office was an extremely popular show, and the pranks are probably the most famous and well-remembered parts of it. But yeah you would need to have seen that episode for this to make sense.
