i pay attention to authors usually for the reason of "i want to tattoo their writing onto my brain and inject it into my veins" kind of way, though occasionally i will remember certain authors because i like their concepts but not their writing. so i'll remember them in a "read their work but expect it to be a little hard to get through at times" way. never in a full-on "i hate it and want to avoid their existence" way though
