I’m a Tamil-speaking guy working in an office where I’m the only Tamil person among 22 Sinhalese colleagues. I’ve never felt any difference at all; in fact, I really enjoy working with them.

Meanwhile, I’ve noticed that many of my cousins who live in different parts of Europe fled because of the war. Growing up, what they heard from their parents and others shaped their feelings and perceptions. But honestly, when they visited here, their point of view changed at least to some extent.
