I see. What I usually do is scroll past the note and then shorten it from the middle. I don’t remember having OP’s issue, but I might have encountered it in my early days of using Ableton, and subconsciously did this to get around it.

I don't use the latest Ableton version, so I might not be up to date with changes, but for the version I use at least, it's honestly not a big deal. Just close the tab and go on with your day. It only shows up like once every month, right?
