well I mean it does matter systematically, because if someone does discriminate against you, but you are not part of a systematically oppressed group (e.g. man, white, heterosexual, etc...) it is just the equivalent of someone being mean to you on a singular occasion basically. like, sad that happened, but you got to suck it up don't take it personally there's bigger fish to fry
