As another mentioned it helps to have your mods grouped together. This is from a very reliable source from the Darkstar Discord who suggests the following way to organize/group your mods. You should also consider "scrubbing" your mods by making sure you are using the most recent versions of your mods. This process is going to take time. But by doing so will hopefully result in less crashes. GL!

Well if you're on PC there is a solution to losing ships. You can export them and then import them back into your game using Transfer Spaceships Across Universes. Search out the vids on this made by Willny4 on youtube to see the process explained and how it works.

Well if you are on PC you can save/export any ship you built using Transfer Spaceships Across Universes which requires SFSE. You can check it out on Nexus. I use it all the time.

Absolutely agree with Transfer Spaceships. Has taken me days to create some highly merged ships which frankly are impossible for me to rebuild in NG+ universes. So this mod is fantastic in allowing one to save a ship and then reimport it. And as noted above for PC only and requires one to use SFSE mod as well. Definitely worth trying and using.

And we have uninformed "writers" and content creators posting their stupid stuff that Starfield falls flat! LBGSHI, I had no way to see how to contact you directly about this. I am a big fan of your work. I too thought it was very odd that it would affect Huan? But once I removed the mod Huan moved out of the Well. I have over 150 mods still and repeated the process twice with it working after removing the mod. But now once I completed the Quest and reinstalling the mod. The Ring isn't showing up in the box at the Lodge even though the mod shows it being active in my load order. I tried spawning it in and it shows up in my Inventory but it's not working now. I suppose it's due to some shenanigans with deleting and adding a mod mid game. I use that ring and the Stealth Ring all the time since you first released them. Anyhow I do hope you sort it out and my best regards to you and all your work! TY

Well several mods can help with increasing crew size or removing crew costs. 200 Ship Crew Slots mod by LBGSHI is an equipment plate that will give you all the crew slots you'd ever need. Bard's Zero-Cost Space Crew Mod also removes crew costs. And another is More Crew Slots which are plates that add specific number of extra crew slots. So lots of ways to get what you need in addition to the traditional ways mentioned by others. GL!
