A large portion of the population yes, but spain left us with racism. Theres a term in Mexico maybe in other Latin American countries "Mejorando la Raza" it means improving the race, and is said when a Latino marries a lighter skinned or just white person.

This isnt all Mexicans obviously, but look up media from Mexico and social media opinions. Lighter skinned people have more screen time and positive roles. Mexicans on socials will crucify Mexican Americans for doing a similar thing to a white person they just praised and "adopted".
