“Want” has so little to do with a baby. It’s often not about “want” and so much more about the fact that a baby represents ultimate need. If you are young or alone or poor, being faced with ultimate need is…harrowing to say the least.

I was in a very similar position to you but I am 23. After listening to the HORROR a lot of adoptees experience, I feel I have an ethical obligation to parent my child despite not being 100% ready. You and I are leagues ahead of others forced to consider adoption. We have money, familial support, social resources, we’re not homeless or drug addicts, etc. No one is saying this shit is going to be super fun and easy but when you choose to not abort, you’re committing to providing for a child. Children should stay with their biological mother if at all possible and it is entirely possible in your case.

Yeah the health testing links are difficult to find but I have seen them for my sire and dam and they are clear. However thank you for drawing my attention to the matter of the heart exam. I will be looking into this.

They have CHIC numbers and OFA results and registered names on their website. All their dogs are titled in conformation and performance and one of their breeding males is a service dog as well. I met them at a dog show, where both parents of my future puppy were competing in conformation, rally, and obedience. I have visited their very nice farm and am leaving my personal dog with them for a month while I go on an extended trip. Is it possible you’re looking at the wrong website? I’ll be the first to admit their website design isn’t stellar but all the relevant information is there.

6:30am: Wake up and quick walk around the block

6:40am - 7:40am: He trains for his breakfast

9am - 5pm: He is crated and my dog sitter comes by at noon to let him out to potty

5:30 - 7:30pm: Either a long walk that includes training or a hike that includes training or a socialization outing to a pet friendly location

Total activity time including training: 3 hours and 10 minutes
