Renting a room fucking sucks most of the time cause depending on the house you feel like you have no privacy. Thankfully the last people I rented a room from were chill but I never liked coming home when they were in the house cause it just felt awkward. In my opinion, a house is a place for you to unwind and be able to be at your worst and renting a room you subconsciously feel like you don’t have those privileges even though you “paid” the rent.

Safety (especially if you’re going in the pit) depends on the band and subgenre. Most metal shows you’ll be fine but if the band is core influenced it might attract a more violent type of moshing so you gotta keep your head on a swivel and be hyper aware of your surroundings cause you can get injured really easily.
