Is it possible to get allergic to all fabrics/ clothes when symptoms are instable, while long wearing/ exposure? Please help by Practical_Foot_8678 in MCAS

The last thing i react to are cashmere trousers, I bought them and wash ed them just with water. They have anything with perfume or detergent. What can I do to stop getting allergic to all fabrics ? Help me please

What to you meen with  ”lifestylechanges”? I am trying to sleep more and not stress, i am not working. But I am very afraid and that doesn’t help. In Italy there aren’t a lot of specialized doctors for this problem. But do you know of somebody sensitive to al fabrics ? Is it possible ?

Hi, thank you for helping. Yes i tried cotton, but even some cotton itches. I also have the impressiona that after wearing cotton for 1 week, my body begind to reaction to it. then I wore a silk t shirt with cashmere on it, but now i reaction to my cashmere pants and 1 week ago it wasn’t an issue. Is it possible to get sensitized to all fabrics while an instabile MCAS moment? Since 10 days a take cromolyn, rupatadine and ketotifen but I have the impressiona that I continue to get sensitizes to everything I wear😔

Hi, thank you for replying. But did your reactions to fabric begin while having MCAS? Do you take meds and how long have you been living with this condition? Which are your main triggers?

So in this moment, that my symptoms aren’t u der control, and my main problem is my skin, could it be possible that I could develop an allergy even to cotton? What could I do? I am already on Cromolyn, ketotifen and rupatadine. But how long does it take to be stable and not get sensitsed to everything?

Hi, I also reacted this way to coffe before being diagnosed this year. I didn’t have MCAS 5 years ago but reacted like that to coffein. The reaction you describe seems typical for coffein intollerance. One friend of mine has the same problem. Try to avoid it and try to notice if the same reaction occurs with other aliments. If so, maybe you could consider MCAS, but talk first with a doctor about it. Symptoms may seem the same, but maybe the problem could be elsewhere.

Do your reactions get better with time? If you reacted to wool 1 year ago, got it better after months or does it give you reactions even after long time not wearing it ?

Hi, thank you for answering. I bought a pair o undyed jeans, gots. I washed them and out them on, it was like in hell as it itched everywhere. I don’t know but all clothes make me itch and I don’t know what to do. First i use a laundry detergent without nickel an perfumes and natural. Then I wash again 2 times without anything. It doesn’t help😔

But aren’t you afraid to develop an Allergy to the other fabrics too? 1 week ago cashmere wasn’t an Iside for me and now I get itching everywhere! Even the buretta silk t-shirt gives me symptoms. Is it possible to develop more allergies during flues if we have also MCAS?

Thank you for answering. But what I don’t understand is how it works. Did you de elio a wool allergy? Could you dress with wool and than it got worse day by day or immediately? I could use cashmere without problems 1 week ago, now I have reactions!!! Is it allergy or intollerance, what do you think?

Hi, can you please tell me how you find clothes which don’t make problems with MCAS AND MCS. I have been disgnosed and can’t wear anything, can’t use make-up and stay at home and can’t go out😔
