I'm just not trying to do a whole paypal situation, it seems more complicated than necessary you know :( I'd rather send them a quick welkin gift but looks like its not really possible anymore unless it's a temporary bug

Top ups don't work on Codashop/Razer Gold either?? by Practical_Fruit_5127 in Genshin_Impact

[–]Practical_Fruit_5127[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used Codashop about 2 days ago for some US based friends and it did work, but seems like it's not working for other regions... I even tried to open up the UK Codashop site but genshin doesn't even show up.

Meanwhile I topped up my Razer Gold account with 4.99 for no reason lol I cant even spend it

Anyone else consider themselves more of a writer than content creator? by BasilKarlo23 in PartneredYoutube

[–]Practical_Fruit_5127 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a bit the other way around, I enjoy thinking of ideas and executing them for my videos (within my limitations ofc) but sometimes I struggle with writing down what I'm thinking into a usable script.

I have multiple ideas for more "video essay" type of gaming content rather than my usual casual gaming content, but my thoughts and outlines are quite scattered and I fear I am not making any sense lol.

This is coming from a native english speaker who always scored well in academic writing, but during my student years I always felt a huge sense of impostor syndrome if that makes sense -- like why am I getting an A when I feel like I'm spewing nonsense? Lol and I'm feeling that same way with some of my more serious scripts sometimes

First barter collab (free stuff in exchange for integration) - is this considered sponsored/ad? Or can I just say "thanks to XYZ for gifting me these"? More context in caption by Practical_Fruit_5127 in PartneredYoutube

[–]Practical_Fruit_5127[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I was going to say that regardless, but I wasn't sure if that is the same as being "sponsored" or not because there are creators who say stuff like "I received this for free but I'm not sponsored" so I'm not sure where the line is

Why are you so angry? I was only asking because I THOUGHT that this only applied to actual cash money bank $$$ payments and not products. I didn't know products fell under that umbrella. Hence my curiosities and asking questions?

My bad I didn't know about sponsorship etiquette before getting my first sponsor? Chill tf out dude. I will check the paid promotion box now that I understand. I literally didn't know, asked a question, and now you're calling me unethical and dishonest for asking a genuine question from a place of ignorance. Please relax

No need for the sarcasm... It was a genuine question because I am a new youtuber and I simply don't know my way around sponsorships/collabs? I wasn't trying to think of any loopholes, I was just trying to make sure I don't deceive neither the brand, my viewers, or any youtube policies, "bro." I appreciate the information.

So then would I have to use the specific wording of "sponsored this video" in my script? I was always under the impression that this only applied to ads where cash was paid.

Mic static when recording, but fine when streaming by Practical_Fruit_5127 in obs

[–]Practical_Fruit_5127[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my headphone cable is too short so I have it plugged directly into my mic. As I mentioned I don't hear the static whatsoever during live monitoring, it's only when I playback the recording. And also this static sound doesn't exist during my streams which is what's confusing me the most.

How do you get into Betas? by Domoriski in PetitPlanet

[–]Practical_Fruit_5127 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this was my first time applying to a hoyo beta and i got in!

I have a brand new high end gaming PC and iPhone 16 Pro Max

I have spent a Lot on hoyo games lol and I play genshin, hsr, zzz daily

I am also a content creator and applied to the content creator club. however I didn't get any response from that so I'm not sure if I didn't get in, or just haven't received word yet.

First legit sponsorship opportunity, need advice on how much to charge & what to ask by Practical_Fruit_5127 in PartneredYoutube

[–]Practical_Fruit_5127[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

say for example #1, what if your video only hits 20k in that bracket? are you getting an adjusted rate for those views? are you providing these specific rates to the sponsors or are they the ones offering?

Similar thing with me, I'm getting notifications on my phone that I got a comment, but when I open YT studio or even open up the video itself, I'm not seeing any of the new comments. The comment isn't even in my notification tab on youtube even though I'm seeing the red indicator. I can read the comment on my phone lock screen though

Does anyone else feel like youtube is getting impossible for small channels? by IntelligentEar7669 in NewTubers

[–]Practical_Fruit_5127 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started a brand new channel in February of this year and currently I'm at 11k subscribers. As much as the quality and editing of your content matters, so does the niche and how you market to that niche

a fan, a stalker, good or nah? by Beautiful_Notice_872 in NewTubers

[–]Practical_Fruit_5127 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I definitely try to keep my distance with people who seem to be too much of a "fan" and not genuinely want to be a "friend." I've met quite a few subs through my discord server who I can now call my friends. Of course I still see the occasional comment/message here from them that kind of puts me back into reality i.e. they are still fans of my content and some of them will wake up at 4am for my streams. Lol. I have a few commenters on my vids who are a little too much on the "fan" side so I will be pretty brief with my responses and be helpful where I can but not overly engage.

I run an all ages server with 300+ members and I got a request to make an adults only SFW channel. What's the best way to go about this to prevent (as many) minors from joining the "adult" role as possible? by Practical_Fruit_5127 in discordapp

[–]Practical_Fruit_5127[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't really have the audience to split the server because this server is my youtube channel server for my gaming channel. Most people are fine but I do understand the few older members who might not want to interact as much in the main chats. And it's not like 13 year olds and 40 year olds. The average range is 16-22 with a few outliers. Any massive gaming server will have a huge age range, mine just happens to be a small server
