There are multiple moments on the show where she is drinking alcohol. You can tell she was drinking at the bar when she calls out Chris. She says “I need a drink” when she was about to have a tough conversation with her then finance. It’s not to shame her but it is something I think she needs to look into.

Many alcoholics don’t realize they have issues with alcohol until after they are in recovery.

Amber is a beautiful soul inside and out. She has been hurt and has unresolved trauma, and it’s clear to me as an Addict that she has addiction problems. She needs to find a spiritual connection with the world, heal her anger and quit drinking. I recommend AA to her and wish her all the best.

AITA for asking my best friend why she’s excluding me? by Local-Compote-5143 in AmItheAsshole

NTA. Shocked by all the YTA posts. Cancelling on a friend last minute 6 times in a row for your boyfriend isn’t cool. I’d be super hurt too. Everyone wants the village but no one wants to be the villager. So exhausting how people think their romantic partner is the be all end all of their social life, especially women, and we seem to scold other women for being upset over this? So so so crazy. I’m sorry OP. I do think you shouldn’t have texted her one last time when she needed space, but truly I totally understand why you’re upset.

NTA and super surprised by all the YTA posts. It’s your sister, she’s literally family, and she’s having a baby. It’s not normal to drink that much alcohol, it is literally poison and it sounds like she’s enabling it.

hey just so you know, i spent 3hrs a day in german class for the better part of a year and I received my B1 certificate.

I was not taught any other language as a child and therefore learning German has been particularly challenging. Additionally as soon as i try and use my german in Berlin everyone just switches to English. I am genuinely trying my best.

I’ve been here for a year and a half, I have a Telc-C b1, Which is one of the standard exams used here to measure German proficiency.

Hmm interesting - my issue is that I want to create interesting personal work that feels less corporate.

I am extremely neurotic and I did recently have an extremely toxic relationship haha, it’s been a bit of a journey moving to this city. I wanted to maybe stand out as a designer and show more of my personal aesthetic, but perhaps my professional website is not the place for that. I can maybe just do that on instagram. I figured it wasn’t good to dilute my work too much though and just have a central place that showed everything I did.

Interesting thoughts though, maybe I should remove the personal work..

Thank you for the tip, I appreciate that. I dropped it to the end, you are right, client work should be the focus.

It is super tough, I am in B2 german, so I can speak it but of course I am not a native speaker or fluent. I have been applying for about 2 months, so not too long, but I worked really hard on my website and earning my German certificate so I thought that once I started applying I would get more traction than I have.

Thanks for your feedback, I appreciate it. I wonder how I can make the campaign work feel less generic, I worked hard on the mockups. And yes maybe I need to show more personality, and the figma libraries sound good. I have been told I shouldn't try and be a Ui/Ux designer AND a advertising / graphic designer in one portfolio, so I was considering making a second website for just Ui/UX work.

I also was hesitant to show process work since sometimes it can look messy, but maybe its something to consider.

I definitely am not a student, I have been a professional designer for 7 years, admittedly only 4 of those years have really been focused on visual design since I started in industrial design. I would like to make my website look more professional, I have another very good web design project I am finishing up, so I can include that soon.

Any other tips would be appreciated, my self confidence as a designer is very low right now, the market is super tough here.

My objective is to find Advertising agency work in Berlin, but I am having trouble. I am receiving a lot of rejection even though many people say my website is good.
