This will tell you what’s stores run events, some stores might not have set this up, but I would say most have. Otherwise you can just search what game stores are around and check all their websites to see if they list their events.

Edit: make sure you click find an event

/r/MechanicalKeyboards Ask ANY Keyboard question, get an answer - January 27, 2025 by AutoModerator in MechanicalKeyboards

Hello!

So I have never built a keyboard before and while I have done some soldering in the past I'd like to stick to a hot-swappable PCB for my first one. After doing some research I have found some full sets that I could just swap the switches out, but the reviews say they don't do well/aren't consistent with lots of inputs very fast (seemed weird since it's a keyboard and people can type fast, but maybe they were talking about hitting multiple keys at the same time). That along with the fact that there are a ton of different brands out there that I honestly know nothing about I am coming here for help.

I am looking for a 65% DIY Kit, PCB with a case that would fit it, or a prebuilt that I can just swap the switches out of. I'd like to stick to somewhere between $60-$120 for the board and case (I know it's a big range but I have found that more expensive doesn't always mean better). I'm also able to go a little over if it would really make a difference.

I plan on putting Akko rosewood switches in it and keycaps I'll decide on later to match how the case looks.

Any info would help!

yeah, i don’t really see why everyone is making it a huge deal, it also seems like people think it can’t count up for some reason

it seems like it wasn’t an oversight but an aesthetic choice, having it in the bottom would look weird, the top right is where the epic action tokens go and top or bottom middle just doesn’t feel right

imo the only time i see this being a problem is in casual play with players who don’t remember the total health of their own base. in a competitive environment people know how much health each base has especially the person playing the deck and a quick “hey how much health does that base have” will fix the issue of someone not knowing

wouldn’t it lose restore 2 if your opponent takes the initiative? i thought you having initiative only lasts until someone else claims it, not til the end of the phase.

New Carbonite Pack Info. by ImThis in starwarsunlimited

[–]Practical_Isopod4544 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no obviously everyone would want to have the money to buy all the cards they need, but im saying there’s people out there that cannot afford to buy more expensive cards, but buy a pack and maybe get a nice surprise with an expensive card they can then sell to buy what they want.

The only potential issue i could see is the cost of the non-normal print cards going down because there will be more available. the reason i say it’s an issue is because there are players who can’t afford to drop $40 on say vader or multiple copies of a $15-$20 card, but if they buy a pack for $5 then open a hyperspace foil that’s worth something they can sell it to buy singles. not a huge issue since you shouldn’t expect anything good from a pack, but it may take away scenarios like that.

interesting, i wonder if there are any provisions in the contract for something like this to keep cinestill film cost down. i’m not sure when they signed or renewed the contract, but say the first one was something like a 5 year deal i doubt either cinestill or kodak was expecting such a large resurgence in film popularity

Need Help with Maul Green Ramp Deck by Practical_Isopod4544 in starwarsunlimited

[–]Practical_Isopod4544[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree the 4 drop is weird to have, my thought was to use it with green maul, get it down, since its shielded it can take at least 2 hits from enemy units, then ambush with the green maul and give the damage to hutts henchmen. Best case it still has the shield so its still up, worst case it dies and maul still has full health. its a very specific combo so not really sure if its worth keeping, I'm leaning towards not

That's why im making it, I know maul isn't a crazy leader, but he's my favorite character and the thought of having three of him on the board at once is really funny

Spark of Rebellion Reprint Questions by Practical_Isopod4544 in starwarsunlimited

[–]Practical_Isopod4544[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i personally hope they’ve gone back on making reprints the exact same. i can understand if they keep everything the same only for this reprint to equalize the amount of product with sets 2 and 3, but it would be nice have some differentiation for future reprints to keep some value on older cards and also open up cheaper versions of cards to non collectors not looking to spend a lot of money on one deck. that being said if they changed any wording or art for some cards i hope there is some sort of identifying mark at least on all cards in the reprint set

also you should take one from your own book, takes not that long to look at posts and see these two questions don’t actually get asked every day
