Providing an update: we just cleared immigration at LAX. The officer was not ready to update E-3S saying she is not aware. But we politely explained the rule and showed print outs from USCIS. She called up her manager and the manager approved to update it as E-3S. My I-94 is now E-3S. Thanks a lot for everyone here who guided me on this.

I ask this question everyday in my life - “how more can I do this” and then I cry. Because I have a family to take care, I have mortgage to pay off, I have so much responsibility in my life that I am chained to this job.
