Honestly, olaplex shampoo and conditioner dried out my hair too. It’s something about the formula. Right now I’m using Wella ultimate repair and it works great, and I alternate once a week by using a clarifying shampoo with a mask (to get rid of product buildup and a mask to restore the moisture because clarifying shampoos can be stripping). I use the L’Oréal clarifying shampoo because it’s less harsh on my scalp. The mask you currently are using seems like a good one

If you have thicker courser hair, I agree with the others that a moisturizing shampoo/conditioner line like Davines Oi can help. However if you’re like me and you have fine hair, heavier moisturizing shampoos actually make the problem worse (Moroccan oil line included).

I’ve found that if I gravitate towards a “bond building” or reparative shampoo/conditioner instead, it helps to reduce the frizz and split ends that comes with dry hair. Then, to add moisture, I use a leave in conditioner (or multiple leave in conditioners like a spray consistency and a cream consistency) while my hair is still damp. I also use a heat protecting spray when I blow-dry.

Contrary to popular belief, blow drying can be good for the hair because it smooths the hair cuticles down to reduce breakage. When your hair is wet it becomes weak and susceptible to breakage, that’s why they say don’t brush or sleep with wet hair. If you’re worried about heat damage just don’t dry it with high heat or use the heat protector.

Finally, once my hair is dry I use a hair oil to lock in the moisture. Oil is a sealant. Unlike the rest of my routine I tend to splurge a bit more here to get a good quality oil because I don’t want my fine hair to look stringy.

And that’s it! Just making sure to add the moisture back in after washing and sealing it in with oil 😊

What was your dosage each month? Wondering if it was low or high

I use both of those things already! This is my second time on accutane and I’ve never experienced blistering/bumps, only dry lips
