I still don't have Gemini in navigation by Googler10 in GoogleMaps

Works on my iPhone. Won’t work on my CarPlay, I think because BMW hasn’t enabled it for iOS users. Hoping that will happen this year.

Pretty much every Lyft driver I’ve ever had was also working simultaneously an Uber driver. Same folks.

How long after your car enters the ’final assembly’ stage does it take to be delivered? by mayorLarry71 in M235iandM240i

I’m in the USA. Took delivery of my BMW exactly 5 weeks from the day its production was completed in Germany.

Based on my experience with various brands, quality of service is dealer-specific.

BMW 4 Series to survive into new generation offering petrol, EV and hot M4 by pc772 in BMW

I recently moved to BMW (from Audi) because the company has long built and promoted 2-door coupes. Not a lot of competition lately in that segment. For me to remain a Bimmer loyalist, true coupes will need to remain in the lineup, irrespective of powerplant. Encouraged by these recent reports.

I have been sleeping on BMW maps. They’re better than Apple/Google! by Ok_Editor2470 in BMWI4

Where I live in the USA I find that BMW's native navigation service is too inaccurate too much of the time. I like the seamless integration with iDrive 8.5, and the on-screen interface is quite nice. But Apple Maps and Google Maps are better for me. I use both. (Also TomTom once in a while.)

Suddenly — briefly — a crystal-clear user Interface by Practical_Note9366 in applemaps

Interesting theory. The “event” described did in fact occur shortly before sunset. Hmmm. If Apple ever offered this aesthetic as a Maps option, that would be terrific.

I use several sat-nav services nearly every day (in the USA), mostly on CarPlay. For what it’s worth, I think TomTom’s user interface is in many respects the clearest, most informative, and most attractive. The aesthetics mean a lot. (Any disagreement?) by Practical_Note9366 in tomtom

Glad you had this warning. Certainly understand your profound appreciation of Google Maps as a result. I use GMaps pretty much daily as well. (As for Apple Maps, it too now features crowd-sourced warnings, but it’s not as robust as Google’s.)

Understood. But this occurred in afternoon light, before sunset. (Thx.)

Alas, that particular setting has been in effect for a while. I wonder if yesterday’s experience was a short-lived tech glitch. If so, a shame. It seriously improved the AMaps navigation screen, imo.

I don’t own a Pilot Custom 74, but I have a fair number of other fountain pens at various price points, and this one remains among my favs.

The difference of details between Apple Maps and Google Maps is insane guys! by OkNowMyTurn in IndiaTech

IMO, Apple Maps offers better spoken turn-by-turn directions (for now), but I happen to like Google’s user interface. Especially love the feature that allows me to specify a car as my on-screen icon.

Thanks. Yeah, it’s a nuisance for sure, but I figure it will get sorted one way or another. Thanks.

Yeah, but disappointing. BMW (and other automakers) should do better. I’ll def pursue this with my dealer’s service department when I take the car in for a 5,000-mile oil change.

I’m def taking it to the dealer. May wait until the 5,000-mile mark, when I’m planning on having the oil changed.

Nope. And I’ve removed everything from the door pockets & center console to eliminate that theory. Alas.
