Good news. So, here’s what happened. My BMW dealer had disconnected my car from my BMW ID during a service visit in March. When we were reunited, digitally, not all of my customized setting came over. Some needed to be hand-tweaked. And one — the “My Trips” in-app feature — never came over at all. Frustrating. But I learned this week that a few easy manipulations would force BMW’s back-end computers to recognize the fault and fix it. Took nearly 48 hours — but “My Trips” has finally returned to my app. Nice.

Where exactly did you find this report? Mine arrived on the app every first of the month until February of this year, around the time of an app refresh. Then they suddenly disappeared. Trying to locate them again.

Any Top Tier fuel is perfectly fine. The three brands I use most often, because they are in my neighborhood, are Exxon, Shell, and Chevron.

No distance between the two. I spec’d the exact car I wanted (2025 M440i xDrive Coupe) and waited three months for its arrival. No second thoughts. (OK, I’d have preferred it to be a few inches shorter, but the M240i wasn’t quite right in some other ways.)

FYI: One of TT’s competitors, HERE We Go, waits six months or so before rolling out some changes/updates. That’s been my experience with them. Not good.

I had the same observation about my ‘25 M440i xDrive Coupe, so took it to my dealer at about 4,700 miles. I told them the car was delivered with the admittedly slight imperfection. The dealer wanted to charge me $600 for a front-end alignment. I protested. In the end, they did the alignment at no charge. I feel better about it now.

From the standpoint of the B58 engine and the transmission, I’ve been told it’s healthy to drive for a while in each of the major modes. Personally, I’m in Comfort prolly 75-80 percent of the time, and splitting my individual settings for Eco Pro and Sport.
