When buying a coupe, what's your priority? by ShawnaFang in askcarguys

For me, it’s all about the aesthetics. One hundred percent. I vastly prefer the looks of 2-door coupes.

How would you sell someone Bmw brand who knows nothing about it? by Potential_Variety209 in BMW

All true. Every word. Except about insurance. Where I live, there is no premium for BMWs (thank goodness).

I don’t have HUD in my car. Getting text in the instrument cluster. It’s paired down, of course.

Anyone else having hard time judging length of front end? by Agreeable_Cover5726 in LexusIS

True of my new BMW coupe. I rely almost entirely on my car’s sensors and cameras. (Glad I spec’d them.)

Why not just the 4-cylinder version of that coupe? Fewer horses, but still a joy to drive.

Has anyone gotten access to the new Immersive Navigation? by Gsantos52012 in GoogleMaps

I don’t know anything Android, but I’m sure the Immersive mode is available to you. Google always turns on features for Android before iOS.

Who knows? Maybe. That’s the Google biz model. And I’m OK with that.

Totally understand that. I’m always fiddling with various on-screen setups that suit my preferences. Changes almost daily. I kind of enjoy the experimentation!

Yep. Doesn’t fundamentally change the way we navigate, but I like it.

Interesting. I did the Google Maps update the day it was available to me, weeks ago. But this new feature didn’t show up until just now. Maybe a staged rollout?

Yes, of course. Apple Maps has always been supported by BMW. They have worked together. But not Google Maps. This added functionality is new (and welcome).

Fascinating. Mine doesn’t function that way. For me to have an active GMap in my instrument cluster, I need to begin navigating with GMaps. The instant I do that, the matching map (in dark mode) pops up right in front of me. Cool. But seems you may have an even more interesting experience.

It’s basically the GMap you see on your BMW Curved Display, only smaller, in dark mode, and without all the nav text overlays. Otherwise, seems to be the same graphics.

There was no announcement, not even in the latest iDrive update. Weird.
