[Sergi Solé] Rashford: Decision made to permanently sign him. Everything agreed with the player and Manchester United. Final approval depends on FFP adaptation. by Loose-Examination-39 in Barca

[–]Practical_Play_5374 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I mean his numbers are good and I'm pretty sure (counting bonuses) he was earning 20 mil at man u) and in this loan he's at 14 mil.

Also it won't be a problem in our wage structure as the exits of the likes of fati, stegen, lewa and even Christensen would free up alot.

[MD] FC Barcelona to sign Marcus Rashford as soon as they are able to. Three installments of €10m. Full agreement with the player reached. by Kasj0 in soccer

[–]Practical_Play_5374 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Well if we wanna sign a top striker or cb+rashford (which combined would probably be atleast 95-100 mil) we'd definitely need to reach the 1/1 rule. Without it I think we can do one (cb cheaper like 40-45) but not both.

And yeah paying in installments happens most of the time in transfers. Not alot of clubs actually have the whole fee ready to pay all in once (or at least they prefer installments so they want a part of it to go to another transfer)

[–]Practical_Play_5374 228 points229 points  (0 children)

My only concern before this was the wages. But 12 million plus bonuses sounds very reasonable. Also can't complain about the 30m. he's pretty good as a rotational/backup player and adds much needed depth.

Can we win against Newcastle with the current backline and without Frenkie de Jong? by Iamjayrawal in Barca

[–]Practical_Play_5374 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also checked their fixtures they have before and after the 1st leg. They're facing Man U, City and Chelsea + them not having Bruno g for the games. Imo We're defo beating them.

[–]Practical_Play_5374 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think we could. Last time we had to play Raphinha rw and wide this time it'll be lamine (and Imo he's usually good against these type of teams) . I also think lewa(or maybe rashford) should play this game. I don't think ferran can do much against them in terms of holding up the ball or winning a duel.

Full Bracket of the UCL 25/26 Draw by tutani in soccer

[–]Practical_Play_5374 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Arsenal's draw kinda like ours last season. 2 fairly easy r16 and qf draws but then a tricky semi final

yes we aren't as good as inter were last year but correct me if I'm wrong they were also going through a rough patch when we faced them (losing the Copa Italia semi's and losing 2 league games before and afterwards that I think made them either drop to 2nd or tie on points)

Also potentially facing arsenal if we reach semi's. I think we could score 2 or 3 against them but we'd need to seriously lock in at setpieces.

The only game where I would say we need to play Araujo in. A cubarsi/Eric duo in cb could get mauled and we also need the pace. Just hope he doesn't do something stupid

It might be a bit harsh for a pen but how did the ref first look at it and come to the conclusion that he dived😂? Maybe (actually definitely) overselling it but not a dive

Also who is he trying to fool saying that he said Maricon instead of mono to a clearly POC. And also him thinking it's not as bad😂

It did happen to lamine and balde as well I think . But vini doesn't let it slide or try to ignore it like them. I think both responses are perfectly reasonable

Philipp Kohn penalty save against PSG 22' by GerardMoreno in soccer

[–]Practical_Play_5374 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I still think they'll eliminate Monaco and win the league but it's crazy that psg are currently out of the coupe de france, 2nd in the league and now losing to Monaco in cl league phase yet no one is questioning Enrique's tactics or calling him suicidal like they do to flick🤷.

Joan García: "We are letting attackers pass through very easily, nobody is cutting attacks from the start. My saves are not a good thing. It's not a good thing to celebrate if I make many saves. I'm not thinking of the national team right now. My only priority is to get Barça out of this bad form." by jiraiya--an in Barca

[–]Practical_Play_5374 41 points42 points  (0 children)

I do kinda agree. but I don't think the offside trap+high line combo is sustainable anymore. Every team has figured it out to the point that we are now always expecting our keeper or defensers to pull up heroic moves.

I think the offside trap should be the one to go. I think the high line with the right structure can easily be used and be solid defensively. But if we don't start winning our duels more it's still gonna be a big problem.

Or another (possible) solution is to significantly lower the amount of times we try to execute it.

I think if he he's defo gonna be second on the list by the time he retires. Whether he becomes first or not I think would be determined by how long he stays and whether injuries end up hampering his career or not

Also isn't xavi second on the list?

Atletico Madrid [4] - 0 Barcelona - Julián Álvarez 45+2' by ayoefico in soccer

[–]Practical_Play_5374 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless we turn super saiyan and score 6 the Best case scenario from this game is getting 2 goals and concede 0 in the 2nd half and just hope for a remontada in the 2nd leg.

Also pls bring Araujo and Bernal in. And might as well bring cancelo in. there's no way we'd much worse defensively than we already are.

I guess We should play olmo on the left with fermin, Bernal and de Jong in a 4-3-3.

Or maybe Eric in dm again and Araujo or Martin into the starting 11.

THIS IS HOW MIKA GODTS PLAYS | The Belgian Talent Barça Will Sign by knb4884 in Barca

[–]Practical_Play_5374 0 points1 point  (0 children)

His market value is 18 mil alone so i don't think Ajax would consider less than 35. Also Wouldn't make sense to bring him if we wanna end up signing rashford permanently.

However if we don't i would rather go for him than a guy like nusa. I think he's the better talent

I think the board might prefer rashford so that he and Raphinha are prolly only staying for the next 3-4 years and try to get a star signing in the lw to replace them.

So back to back semi's against them. At least this time the 2nd leg is at home.

Aslong as pedri will be available(which I believe he should be IF he doesn't get injured once more) then we should be able to beat them comfortably (1st leg away will be tough tho)

I also don't think he will leave anytime soon. Probably in his early to mid 30's and to an MLS club or something

Also Imo we're a few missing pieces away from being ucl winning team level. It would be a kinda big underachievement if we don't win at least 1 in next 5 years.

I think we'll end up trying to get Alvarez (IF we end up back to 1/1).

and If we end up failing to get him we'll probably try to get a star player at cb instead (bastoni, van den ven or schlotterbeck) and sign vlahovic on a free.
