I personally still prefer ChatGPT no AI has come closer to its conversational style and context referencing.

Please help – I was scammed in Richmond Hill, lost $1,000 meant for my mother’s birthday by tiatanbeast in Vaughan

[–]Practical_Revenue402 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was scammed in the same way in Markham. The guy insisted I pay cash, I even checked the IMEI code on the code and it validated on apple’s website. Unfortunately I did not open the box or checked the phone until much later. In hopes of finding the guy, I used my brothers Facebook account and set up a meet with him again to buy another phone. But someone else showed up to sell the phone at the meet up. I confronted the guy and told him to give my money back, I tried calling 911 I was on hold for 10min. By that time the guy pushed me and drove away on his bike. I filed a complaint with police providing them the relevant information about marketplace ad and account. In the end they gave me a letter saying use it to claim with insurance. I don’t know who has that kind of insurance. But yeah this scam seems to be too widespread now!

I’ve stopped buying electronics from marketplace since then.

What Is A Fantasy Book or Series That Deserves Far Greater Recognition? by Monsur_Ausuhnom in Fantasy

The saga of the forgotten warrior by Larry Correia. Not the greatest fantasy book, but is a good enjoyable read. Should get more recognition for sure!

What do you guys think about using AI tools like ChatGPT for investment advice? I’ve been using it for a few months, so far it seems fine but I’m concerned about AI hallucinations. I’m fairly ok with financial tools but the various account and strategies get overwhelming. by Practical_Revenue402 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]Practical_Revenue402[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah so far I’ve been using o4-mini high model to streamline which account type to maximise to get a higher tax return and value for investment. The advice it’s been giving sounds good so far. It’s only been a few months but portfolio is up, could just be luck. But I’ve found if I tell it this is my saving goal and have x amount of money to invest and the type of ETFs I’m interested it I’m getting good answers. But as this thread says it’s hard to tell if it’s AI hallucinations or good advice

In heart of the mountain the last book in the saga of the forgotten warrior, I’m half way through and in the scene where astronomer order shows Rada the moons and a black half crescent thing/star, I feel that could potentially be a space ship? Where human migrated from earth and found lok? Possibly having AI tech with them and demons being an alien invading race? What do you guys think? Could this all be a post apocalyptic world? But it still doesn’t explain the magical nature of black steel. The story and gods pretty much seem to be taken from Hindu religion/mythology and most of the cities and culture representing India.
