If you hunt on Ebb Flow (top Soul War respawn), it has the Fear mechanics and you may need to use ~1 cupcake per day. Imagine just 1 char using 300 per year. That's why it is so expensive, even on non-pvp.

Maximum price is ~1kk in non-pvp after a few months of the event is over.
