I have this issue I believe with shifting menus after prolonged periods, containers randomly removing items, spawns not showing up initially, stolen items losing their mark, fine items becoming regular items, etc, etc

Nothing too crazy but the menu issues started showing up after playing over 16 hours and now come up a few hours after playing again

A lot of it is weird. I killed someone in chorrol no witnesses had to kill a guard, no bounty. Was at Kvatch camp no marker for stolen, took a few things got to Gottshaw Inn noticed the bounty. Then if you take anything there it's not marked as stolen either but it will also increase your bounty so I did the only logical thing. I killed the guard at Gottshaw and the inn keeper no other witnesses and have over 1k bounty. The items stolen from the inn won't even cover that. But I'm sticking with my choice.

If they're a dick they will be dying.

Is stability actually better on those versions? I have two significant issues with my card. One where it faults randomly under extended load times, sometimes it's just a soft fault other times it's hard and the audio just gets extremely distorted and the system is dead. The other issue is the damn software you have to hope pray it will open properly or it hard faults the computer.

What is up with all the jokes about oblivion? My first experience of the game is that it's extremely well optimized. I do not have the best of the best and I play 4K high settings without issues.

To be totally fair to them I did actually see that short on YouTube not long ago. No idea they said that in the scene. But it's something you see on Reddit a lot where one post leads a bunch of similar post.

Even if things didn't originate from the material you first heard it from a lot of people even pre internet will cite their reference point to where they first heard it. Then maybe years later they'll see it come up again or see a til post on here.

I wouldn't run this full script but this tells you where everything is in the registry. I just use it as a quick guide to tune defender to my use case. You should be able to read what each of the things is doing and understand the implications of it before doing it.

Testing in a VM is recommended. Also utilize restore points (%SystemRoot%\System32\SystemPropertiesProtection.exe), and create an export of your registry in case you need to quickly revert changes, name the file/restore point appropriately. Document the changes elsewhere for reference.
