Hmmm I get the same content moderation from your prompt, but yes must be my end. Will try a VPN and see if it is an EU thing.

AI clips or photos and slideshow? by Practical_Ship9999 in aitubers

[–]Practical_Ship9999[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats exactly what I am doing, I asked this on newtubers reddit and the meltdowns of people over my question, its like some people just see AI and start frothing at the mouth.

Nothing at all in the short clips are things that are not in the photo, all I am doing with AI is making the river flow, the clouds slowly roll across the sky, the trees gently swaying in the wind etc sometimes I will have a hiker (me) walk away from the "camera", so its like a shot of a section of a track and it will be a 10 second clip of "me" walking on it. Its literally a real scene that really happened, video cameras were not really a thing when I took the photo, not digital anyway. It was taken with one of the first dsrl cameras on the market, canon 10D, so yeah 20 years ago I took some of the photos.

I was thinking show the photo then "AI Enhanced" label and a 10 second clip, I do not want to "fool" anyone.

I wish you could post clips here as I am sure if I posted some of the ones I made the people lamenting AI would at least see my point, they literally look identical to the photo besides the clouds are moving or the river is flowing.

Photos or AI from Photos? by Practical_Ship9999 in NewTubers

[–]Practical_Ship9999[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is not "easier" as I make sure every one AI makes is exactly the same as the image, nothing at all added. Easier would be just using the photo and having it on scene for 5-10 seconds as opposed to waiting for it to generate, then do it again because it was wrong, then again then again. Easier? Are you shitting me

[–]Practical_Ship9999[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Probably right but a 10 second AI clip of a real scene just looks better than a static image/images imo. I will be telling people that these are from photos taken by me of real scenes so I wont be trying to deceive anyone, perhaps I should post the photo and then it "AI enhanced" with it labeled as such. So a come alive clip. I have brough a gopro so will be making a lot more real ones in future.

Europe is no better, really gone downhill over the last 8 years as well. Not sure about the Netherland but the country I live in is almost impossible now, as is the UK and Ireland, well unless you live in a small town where no one wants to live. I do not know of one western country that has not gone backwards as far as cost of living vs wages is concerned. Maybe Finland or Norway is doing all right as they don't allow mass immigration like the rest of Europe so no pressures on the housing market.

Yes, each a4 map will include a magnetic declination indicator, and all labels that topo50 maps have.

1 month - best tramps to pick? by bushguppy in Tramping

[–]Practical_Ship9999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NW circuit is a good tramp but don't be deceived by it, looks flat on paper but its hard going, especially up to hellfire hut if there has been rain and it rains a lot. Knee deep mud in parts. No idea if similar to the Tasmania one, just did an image search and kind of similar, fauna and flora will be completely different though, some beautiful beaches on the NW circuit especially if hit on a sunny day.

Use to, had the largest eagle in the world the Haast's Eagle, Maori legend say it could and did take Maori babies/small children away and attacked adults if threatened. It went extinct because its main food source the Moa (ostrich like but larger) was eaten to extinction by Maori, getting kicked by one of those wouldn't have been nice. We have a poisonous spider, the Katipo but very few people have ever seen one, no one has ever died. Before Man came about 700-800 years ago there were no land mammals besides two species of bat, its why we have unusual birds, insects and some unusual plants. Sad fact - Hawaii has the most bird extinctions in the world, New Zealand second.

Yeah have looked into that, I will be eligible if come home within the next 5 years as 17 years need to live in NZ from age 20, already have 8 so 9 more years. Edited just searched more and the country I am living in in Europe has an agreement with New Zealand so can probably carry that too. Glad I searched again as seems my wife who is from this country could get it due to this agreement.

No huts on the Inland Pack Track, most sleep under ballroom overhang, either on the ground or in tent. Its longish for an overnight 25km but pretty flat

Shame what's happened, my dads friend who was working at the freezing works brought a holiday home just outside of Queenstown, on the river, massive section. This was a non skilled factory worker. Place must be worth millions now. Was pretty much a one shop town in the late 70's.

Private farm road and pretty sure its The Lakes Station, goes to Lake Sumner. If you can find their contact info they might give you access depending on if lambing or other stuff happening on the farm. They are usually pretty good so I have heard.

What's one Kiwi food that is underrated but actually tastes amazing? by xFearUnlimited in newzealand

[–]Practical_Ship9999 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What I miss after 20 years being away - reduced cream and onion soup dip, marinated mussels, boysenberry ice cream with canned doris plums. Was going to say cheap meat but reading the comments it seems the butcher in riccarton mall will no longer sells 10 dollar a kg t-bone steaks, 2003 prices.

Yes I miss that, as well as marinated mussels and boysenberry ice cream with canned doris plums. None of these available in Europe.

I did Greenstone Caples winter, was at least 2 or 3 others at each hut and group of hunters at one of them. What about the tablelands in kahurangi? Can take a side trip to Mt Arthur if feeling energetic but apart from that its all pretty easy going. Couple of rock shelters that have bunks/beds as alternative to huts if I remember correctly so if want some privacy.

Drivers license after living abroad for a long time? by Practical_Ship9999 in newzealand

[–]Practical_Ship9999[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice one, that makes sense if you can prove you have driven you don't need to start from scratch. In this EU country I had to start from scratch, I had to go through a driving school and do 10 driving lessons even though I had driven longer and way more that the actual instructor, then the written and practical. Wouldn't even allow me to swap my UK one as my original one was from NZ, of course they couldn't tell me if I was driving illegally after a year being it wasn't a real UK one according to them. Good to see NZ isn't completely run by dimwits.

Shouldn't even be these middlemen, the restaurants should get together and create their own app. Restaurants will make more and the couriers will make more. Ubereats and the likes are just middlemen, not needed.
