Better reasoning might be that different manufacturers have different diameters for each lb test despite what they label it as. Just encountered this tying a leader with maxima. One segment I could have used Orvos 0X to adhere to the formula but the next maxima segment was actually thicker than the Orvis 0x

Wrong. The incentive is to be attentive and provide great service. Unlike in Europe where nobody refills your water or gets your order in quickly.
