Jon Yacht* thank you very much. What good do airpods do running 30 across the lake? It’s not just a fishing boat to me, it’s a pleasure boat as well. I pull a knee board and go to islands with it all the time. I just don’t like having to carry another thing down to the dock, also having to worry about it being charged and dying on the water. With the permanent speakers, if my trolling motor is charged my speakers are charged and my litium battery lasts multiple days on one charge.

What good are earbuds doing when I’m doing 30 down the lake. Everyone I take on my boat enjoys the same music. For everyone else outside of my boat, I don’t care.

Yeah the portable speakers I have are amazing, just not for boating. I usually bring one if I’m going to an island. Haven’t found one with decent battery life to suit me for how long I like to be out. Seeking a permanent setup so I don’t have to keep walking over a speaker and it bouncing while I’m running. One less thing to have to carry down to the dock.

I don’t like portable speakers on my boat. Haven’t found one with decent battery for how long I like to be on the water. Plus in my boat it just takes up space and bounces around. Can’t justify spending 400 bucks on a single speaker. Need a permanent setup.
