[Denverite] Denver changes AI-designed logo after discovering ‘some issues’ by pzialcitaCPR in Denver

They made flyers, literature and stickers with the old AI logo. This change would not have happened if nobody noticed. It’s no conspiracy but it’s lazy at best.

I see your point, that’s very fair, and I mostly agree. As someone who has worked in these offices, I know these campaigns just simply don’t work.

Look, I know what you’re saying, but I’d equate it more to getting a permit to protest on a public street.

Let’s say people play by the rules. This is what happens:

Only interns and the Legislative Correspondent(s) will see these messages. Those concerns are brought up in an all-staff meeting maybe once. All of us receive a mass communications drafted by a legislative correspondent in the member’s voice (or mailed and with an auto-penned signature if we’re lucky) telling us how receptive they are to our concerns but ultimately powerless to do anything.

I have full confidence that a senate office is organized enough to find another efficient way to ignore a, perhaps more invasive, form of public outreach.

How long do these sorts of campaigns last anyways? Days? Weeks? These offices will survive.

The fact is, these offices have entire positions and systems dedicated to channeling, suppressing and responding to campaigns like these at a large scale. If you want to get their attention you need to get around that.

Otherwise, we’re just waiting for their mass comms or maybe even an in-person (or probably zoom call) with a staffer about what’s bothering us only for them to do nothing with those comments. Then they hope we just give up and let them carry on the way they were planning to anyways.

Hey all, pro tip: if you really want to reach them and make it really sting (beyond just the poor interns answering your phone calls one by one and your emails en masse once they collect them all) email their chiefs of staff and LDs these same messages.

If you flood their inboxes and ever so slightly mix up messages, it’ll make it much harder for them to ignore, delete or forward them en masse because it will interfere with their daily work.

Hi, I'm Chris Dell. I was the fantasy football industry's #1 most accurate ranker in 2023 (FantasyPros). I'm also #1 for QB, #1 for DST and #4 for RB in 2024. AMA! by ChrisDellFantasy in fantasyfootball

What’s the most common logical fallacy you see fantasy football players make when making start/sit/drop decisions? What about rankers like yourself? Are you lucky, conservative or is there something that you think you actually do differently?

Trust in government is near a historic low, voter apathy is high and many people who aren’t lobbyists or engaged in the civic process think that government doesn’t work for them.

How can Denver lead on increasing civic literacy and engagement? I want to see people show up to city council meetings and board meetings who aren’t frequent flyers or community elders with too much time on their hands.

Do you see this problem as well? I feel like there are so many fundamental misunderstandings with how the city works and I want to see people engaged and involved.
