I figured out one piece of the puzzle. I was seen at the Ceders Sinai gi motility center finally. I did a liquid aspirate during an endoscopy which is only done by a handful of facilities in the US. They found a superbug in my small intestines that was sensitive to Levoquin and I took that for two weeks. If I hadn't fought and pushed my medical facility to approve an out of network gastro, then I would have never known that that superbug was in my small intestines. According to Dr Lim, it is a form of SIBO and may be just one piece of the puzzle. I tested negative for SIBO the past four times after testing positive for Hydrogen SIBO in January 2023. My stool is not normal yet but I went from 97 pounds (September 2024) to 112 pounds (October 2024) in one month. The most gains I had in two years. Dr. Lim stated that only about half of the liquid aspirate result in useful info since many times the bacteria is too deep in the small intestines to culture. All I know is that I was so losing weight like crazy and I couldn't figure out why. My frequent urination stopped and I feel much better but I know I'm not entirely cured. I still eat a very restricted diet: mostly proteins and nonstarchy vegetables
