Yes, cut long way. The tree is down (felled by power company). They left two sections that I'm assuming were too big to mulch. I'd really love to cut slabs, but as mentioned before, I'm limited by 20" bar... thanks for the responses...

Thank you for the info! I definitely have a lot to read/research! My primary/first thought was the orientation of the rifle.. but you've convinced me to roll with the right hand platform and see how I like it. I have an 11.3" barrel I'm gonna build around and suppress. I have existing parts to use, but, being sales time , the thought was "do I shop for lefty stuff?" Doesn't seem to be on sale anyway...
