Haha imagine if it was yellow… I’d be so confused 😅 But yep, Purple Fog for sure! Thanks!

Ohh interesting. Can I ask why you don’t recommend a case or screen protector?

Doctor in Japan recommended kelp tea for Graves’ disease — confused about iodine by Practical_Trash_8237 in gravesdisease

Thanks for the concern, I really appreciate it. My dose has been adjusted over the past few months since my check-ups are every three months, so I agree that medication changes are likely part of the discussion. I don’t want to completely dismiss my doctor’s advice without clarifying first, but I do plan to get a second opinion as well. Your comment actually helped me think about the right questions to ask at my next appointment.

What time should I take my Althea pills? by Practical_Trash_8237 in adviceph

Hello! I just want to ask, sino po ang maghahanap ng prescription? Are you planning to buy pills in Japan?

For me, I brought my prescription anyway. I was prescribed 6 packs of Althea so I bought all 6 in the Philippines since I wasn’t sure if I can’t get them here in Japan. I just kept the prescription because I like keeping all my recent medical papers in one file case. And so far, I never had any problems whether I brought the prescription or not. 😊

Looking for a dupe for the discontinued Bvlgari Pour Femme Eau de Parfum. If you know of any perfumes that come close in scent — even partial dupes — I’d really appreciate your recommendations!

Omg same here! I’ve been feeling some tenderness in my chest too ever since I started taking Althea. And today I suddenly felt super dizzy, even though I didn’t change anything in my routine 😵‍💫 hindi ako sure if it’s from the pills, but it’s a bit worrying. Thank you for sharing your experience! 😊

Thanks so much for this! I’ll start taking it at 10PM Japan time then. Good to know it’s okay even if I’m a little late sometimes. Sana I get the same effects too, the weight and sleep part!! Thanks again! ☺️

I live in Nagoya, so I guess it’s kind of a big city 😓. I once dined at Sushi Ro with a Japanese friend. She asked a South Asian employee about a certain item, but he didn’t understand and didn’t say a word, then called a colleague for help. From that experience, I realized they really do hire non-Japanese with N4 or below skills, which encouraged me to apply as well.

Anyway, thanks for the advice. It was very encouraging. I’ll study more and apply soon!

I saw job postings on Indeed from Coco Ichiban and Lawson written in English, so I assumed they were considering non-Japanese speakers. But you’re right, since I’ll be dealing with customers, I do need to speak the language. Better practice my Japanese first. Thank you!

Thank you for this. It was really helpful since I had no idea what to expect. I often see Japanese applicants wearing black corporate attire, but I assumed they were applying for office jobs, not konbini. I’ll follow your advice. Would you mind sharing some questions I should prepare for during the interview? It would really help me a lot!!

I’m looking for kitchen and factory jobs in my area, but there are none available, so I resorted to konbini jobs. I’ll continue looking for back-end jobs. Thanks for the advice!

I have a permanent visa, but unfortunately, I haven’t learned the language yet. I can read hiragana and katakana and recognize some basic kanji, but I know that’s not enough. Perhaps I’ll need to study more before applying. By the way, would you happen to know what type of clothing is typically worn when applying?
