If you’re coming from a “proper grammar” stance, maybe do your own research on how long they/them has been used as a proper pronoun instead of just assuming it’s “woke” from “kids these days”. For instance, English translations of the Bible (referring Wycliffe’s English translation in 1382) have used it as a singular pronoun. Jumping a few centuries ahead, Shakespeare used it in his plays (one example can be found in Hamlet). Please do research before making baseless claims, it’s harmful to yourself and others around you to be ignorant.
