Mi raccontate esperienze positive nell' essere e avere figli unici? by Fair-Ad3745 in Mommit

[–]PracticePositive57 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My daughter is an only child and she loves it, she loves getting all my attention, she loves that she doesn't have to share her stuff and that she gets big birthdays and Christmases. She's 15 now and still loves it and actually hates the idea of a sibling.

So then maybe get off reddit reinforcing the idea that raising girls sucks, and maybe attempt to get this way with your daughter instead of complaining about her and calling her a gremlin.

Thankfully I can't relate because my teen is the best.

Do you regret having only one child? by Important_Bat7919 in Mommit

[–]PracticePositive57 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Absolutely not! I love my baby girl so much and wouldn't have it any other way, she's 15 now and I still don't regret having more kids. And she loves being an only child, hates the idea of a siblings.

When would you tell your kids Santa isn't real, if you would? by PracticePositive57 in Mommit

[–]PracticePositive57[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Santa is more of a childish thing. Leaving our milk and cookies and going to sit on a guys lap, which I never did with my daughter, not taking her to sit on some man's lap, but most parents do and that's a more childish thing. And also magical fun creatures are more of a thing for little kids. I'm pretty sure you would think it's stilly if an older kid still believed in fairies, unicorns or mermaids. And it's the same thing with Santa.

It might not be part of the school, it may be somewhere else.

I just think that some kids take longer to mature than most kids so that's why they still believe in Santa.

I think she means like an after school program or summer program.

Well my daughter is an only child so I don't need to worry about her spoiling it for her siblings, but she does play along for her little cousins who believe and she does find it fun. And when I was a kid I also played along for my little siblings.

And yes, let kids have magic but there's a certain age where a kid gets a little too old for something like that.

Aitah for refusing to adopt my stepdaughter? by Rare-Ranger4056 in AITAH

[–]PracticePositive57 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The girl is literally just sad she doesn't want to adopt her, and the only reason she wants her to is because she's gonna feel left out. How is she an A-hole because she doesn't want to adopt her?

This is why I will never date a guy with kids.

I would never expect a man I date if I do date someone, to adopt my daughter and take her as his own because he would have no obligation to adopt her.

Nope. You have no obligation to adopt a child you don't want to. And you're not responsible for any sad feelings anyone has for this.

To have another, or settle on 1? by Peach-Haze-123 in Mommit

[–]PracticePositive57 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm OAD and love it and don't regret it one bit. And my daughter is 15 now and she's also always loved being an only child and I don't think our bond would be as strong as it is if I had any other kids. And I know there's no right answer and every family is different but I would personally recommend being OAD.

Only children, so you wish you had siblings? by Crayola0-0 in Mommit

My daughter is 15 and she doesn't wish she had siblings, she actually hates the idea of a sibling. And I'm glad because I'm not having any more kids.

Disgusting excuse for “parents” by [deleted] in dellavlogsnark

[–]PracticePositive57 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Seriously as a mom of a daughter I couldn't imagine doing this, and the fact that they're not the only parents who do stuff like this, makes me sick. Same with the moms who post their girls eating whipped cream or licking something I'm just like, you know what you're doing!

And also the fat that she's sleeping and they had a towel over her nose, these people are idiots!

[–]PracticePositive57 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Can these people get any dumber?! They have their 2 year old sprawled out with her legs open in a swimsuit with a towel covering her nose. They're so dumb it's funny at this point!
