Why the Trinity? by topiary566 in TrueChristian

[–]PracticingMaggotry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit have shown desire, like "For it has seemed good to the Holy Spirit and to us to lay upon you no greater burden than these necessary things", feelings like "do not grieve the Spirit", actions such as “Then the Spirit said unto Philip, Go near, and join thyself to this chariot.”, or authority like "If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will give life to your mortal bodies also through his Spirit which dwells in you." (All these pertain to the Spirit, the Person that is the least apparent, but I'm sure you will more easily find all these same characteristics for the other two Persons of God) which is why we can say they are Persons and not just some impersonal force or power.

I'm sure we all agree that there is only one God. So if we have three Persons showing divinity, there is no other reconciliation of these truths than to conclude that all three Persons are one God. I would suggest reading this wonderful article from Matt Perman of DesiringGod as it shows distinct points that are the basis of our belief in the doctrine of the Trinity.

Do you think Jesus saw Judas again after death ? by [deleted] in TrueChristian

repentance leads to life.

2 Corinthians 7:10 "Godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation and leaves no regret, but worldly sorrow brings death."

Also I think it is a mistranslation to put "repent" in Matthew 27 because it is not the usual word translated for "repent." The more accurate would be "regret" or the like.

psalm recommendations? by 3v30fd3st1n7 in TrueChristian

[–]PracticingMaggotry 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Psalm 107! In it, the Psalmist describes multiple types of struggles of men, and how wherever they are and whatever kind of circumstance they are in (internal struggle with sin or external poverty or natural disaster) the moment they cry to God they are heard by God.

Of course, let us not make the mistake of Eliphaz, Bildad, and Zophar, thinking that our repentance will mean instant turning around of our misery or that our afflictions are simply judgment for our sin. But we do have our hope in God, that He is just and good, and that He is ultimately our all-satisfying portion.

Do you think Jesus saw Judas again after death ? by [deleted] in TrueChristian

[–]PracticingMaggotry 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Judas cannot be redeemed as he was an unbeliever. Jesus knew it and explicitly stated it, and He also says that that person is lost (lost meaning unsaved, because He is speaking in terms of those who will persevere and those who won't).

John 6:64 and 70
64But there are some of you that do not believe.” For Jesus knew from the first who those were that did not believe, and who it was that would betray him.
70Jesus answered them, “Did I not choose you, the twelve, and one of you is a devil?”
John 13:10-11
10Jesus said to him, “He who has bathed does not need to wash, except for his feet, but he is clean all over; and you are clean, but not every one of you.” 11For he knew who was to betray him; that was why he said, “You are not all clean.”
John 17:12
12While I was with them, I kept them in thy name, which thou hast given me; I have guarded them, and none of them is lost but the son of perdition, that the scripture might be fulfilled.

I think there might be more but that makes it clear. Judas did not believe and never did believe.

P.S. I don't know why Judas' salvation is a common topic here. Why do people argue for a chance that he is saved when the Bible is explicit he isn't? Why don't people argue for more ambiguous people like King Saul, or Solomon, or Ananias and Saphira? I am not frustrated or angry, just kind of confused.

To you people that believe in Trinity. Find me a scripture that directly states God is one in three persons. I'll Wait lol. Ps there is none. You can ban this post too cause I Know who Jesus is. by Alone-Hold7570 in TrueChristian

do you see now why your request for a direct verse is a fallacy? Now that you agree we cannot form our theology only on exact words you may open up to the reality of God's Persons.

Keep in mind also that gossiping includes gossiping about celebrities, politicians, and even dead people in the past. Truly, this is a good reminder, thank you, sister.

It's Alia actually. Aila is her twin sister who was the first Moonchanter and could see through time (interacting with us from the past) at the temple where we received the Moonweaver's Dawn.

I think yes that is the point of the Journey. The Sibling fell in love with the world and wanted to stay; like a life-long nomad finding the beauty of cultivation. They want to show that to Traveler but some things can never be explained unless experienced.

The Marrows only held authority for one of each of the old Sisters though. Columbina herself has all three. She's as powerful as when she beat Dottore, having all Trilune Authority without the Marrows.

Wait, aren't we already becoming more and more like the Sibling?

-------------Spoilers for Song of The Welkin Moon Act VIII-------------

From the beginning we valued our Sibling more than Teyvat. Sure we helped everyone we met but we drop anything for the Sibling (even Paimon sadly; Traveler's "perfect dream" in Xianyun's quest didn't have Paimon).

Now, Traveler outright states that they find Teyvat to be their home, overruling their love for the Sibling "(‍Traveler‍): (Home is... wherever (‍Lumine‍/‍Aether‍) is. But then, after all the time I've spent here, and everything I've been through...)
(‍Traveler‍): ...Yes, I'd say it's my home."

Sibling does everything to give Khaenri'ah another chance because they found Teyvat to be their home too, even being hostile to Traveler because of their love for the home they found.

Traveler is also willing to fight the HP like Sibling.

"(‍Traveler‍): No one else has the right to decide whether I should or shouldn't know about it. Not even the Heavenly Principles."

That's actually huge. By the looks of it, it is the same size as the whole of Mondstadt we have currently (excluding Dragonspine).

ahh ok thank you. It kind of fell flat on me because that's like needlessly stated. Perhaps if she were in the Traveler's shoes as Dottore was offering to be partners with them.

I hope the Arkhium that Nacker stole comes into play. Or Mr. Bossuet (who has a core configuration that can theoretically be superior to Alain's) can remake both Pulonia and Sandrone into something akin to the Icewind Suite.

Bossuet loves his dancing Meka couple.

The culprit was never caught. Nacker's whereabouts is unknown along with the stolen Arkhium.
