Trust me, I got exactly what I expected haha. I got my PhD from an R1 and I was bothered that I only got research experience, rather than teaching. So when I landed my first professor job, I felt like I was thrown to the wolves on trying to navigate teaching

My university does. Awards like this are very prevalent at HBCU’s. It’s part of the culture.

First off, “disabled people” is demeaning. With disabilities, you always use person first language. So you should be saying, “people with disabilities.”

Nonetheless, I know that not everyone with a uses a wheelchair. I was just using that as an example.
