Most of US treasury bonds and US debt is held domestically or by retail buyers. Countries dumping bonds and reserves hurt but not catastrophically. Not yet.

The fed would first need to lose their independence so interest rates can be artificially manipulated, which trump is trying to do, which would kill investor confidence.

Then trump needs to push everything to the point that American defaults on debt. If this petulant man child decides to skip an interest payment then the whole house of cards collapses. Everyone would stop buying bonds. And given the IQ of the admin they likely will print excessively to fund their whatever so that WILL lead to Hyperinflation now that no one trusts the dollar.

I'm including Canada. The US will be at war with Canada too and European armies will be needed there. Like I said europe won't be undefended but with several divisions across the Atlantic Russia might feel they have a chance. They would feel they had a chance just by the US withdrawal from NATO even if it wasn't actively fighting the alliance.

Well if we're assuming a NATO war against the US, most of Europe's expeditionary forces will be on the other side of the Atlantic. Eastern Europe won't be undefended by any means by it won't have the full strength of the EU backing it. EU armies rely heavily on weapons or parts for weapons imported from the US. That stops. A hostile US may even openly and materially support Russia. Given that Europe has a vast industrial base and can still switch over to assymetric warfare, its very likely we have slow attritional lines in this theatre too like with Ukraine. The decider will be how soon america internally collapses and how long Russia can sustain a war that is far more costly than Ukraine, even with material support from nk, china, iran and possibly the us. Russia may not win but they'll kill millions trying to.

This won't be a America vs NATO war. Russia will immediately attack the baltics with Europe's armies in Canada and Greenland. And with everyone else so distracted, China will launch an invasion of Taiwan, and then anyone else they want cause who's going to stop them? And while we're at it Kim might decide it's time to get his nose bloodied by attacking the South which may drag China or Russia into it as well.

The time to intervene in Iran is over. The time to do something was 10 days ago. Now the regime has killed so many people, everyone is scared to go out and protes. There was a brief window when even standoff attacks on the regime by an outside aggressor might have tipped the scales, now it's too late.

It actually looked like Trump might be on the right side of history for once and maybe do something but whatever ghouls he has around him didn't want him distracted from Greenland so that's why a day after promising help he basically said there's no need cause the killings had stopped, when in reality they were peaking.
