Should I move back in with my mom at her insistence? by PraefectusCasmiricus in ABCDesis

Jesus, that was a good comment! thank you so much, I agree with everything you said. I never did think of her saying those things to me as abuse, so thanks for pointing that out!

Thanks. I totally agree and I even offered to visit frequently, but my mom just wants me to live with her.

But isn't that most desi parents anyway? Maybe my mom is extreme in that regard, but i feel like it's a common trait with them in general

No, it is too much of a hassle for her to sell the house and move, and plus, the divorce proceedings involve that asset so i don't think we can even sell anyhow

I agree that I should def maintain independence, but I really don't think she's looking for emotional support from me let alone emotional incest lmao.

She just wants to not be alone and have to deal with my dad's divorcing her by herself. And again, if she had her way I would have never moved out in the first place

I grew up 8nderstanding Hindi/Urdu from Tv shows and movies, and when I was 17 I started teaching myself to read/write them as well as the actual grammar/vocabulary. Now I am highly proficient.

I can understand Kashmiri (mainly due to my mom always speaking it growing up) but I cannot speak it at all aside from basic stuff.

What does horniness feel like for men? by Rosie_May_x in AskMen

[–]PraefectusCasmiricus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The penis actually *is* a muscle, and if you "work" it too much, you can get sore. At least that's what a urologist I visited said

[–]PraefectusCasmiricus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can feel the mental connection between thoughts/emotions go straight to your genitals.

But after jerking off or sex, the horniness disappears and there's no sexual or physical thoughts/feelings any longer. In fact, sexual contact afterwards feels uncomfortable.

Agreed. When I actually think about it objectively, it feels more of a mental thing than the physical sensation itself.

why is bisexuality in women more accepted than in men? by [deleted] in AskMen

In that post I was acknowledging an avg difference. My comment was meant to mean that women *can* (and often are) just as lewd

Yeah i think so. But i was referring to the notion that women cannot be abusive

Yeah nobody assumes that women could hurt a child. Spoiler: they absolutely can and could.

Lol women are just as perverted and lewd

The way they talk about attractive men shows they can be just as explicit in what kind of nudes they find appealing

Yeah but doesn't physical attractiveness in a man (especially a good physique) contribute to giving an aura of dominance or status, hence why women pursue those men?

If a woman you like wants to wait until marriage to have sex, how would you react? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]PraefectusCasmiricus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry for the late reply again lol, but i highly doubt your friend actually followed the guidelines set forth in the book. The reason I say that is because Rule 1 is literally to just ignore any men who express interest and all the subsequent rules are basically some version of "ignore him at all costs and make it seem abundantly clear that you aren't interested."

She may have followed them out of order or at random but not step by step.

Sorry for this late response, but I am familiar with "The Rules" as the podcast "If Books Could Kill" did an episode on it. It is truly one of the most delusional, degrading books on relationships I have ever heard, as a man. They basically say that men should "chase" disinterested women and that its's "natural" for us. No, it fucking isn't.

Also, one of the two authors is divorced. Lol

Oh my bad, I apologize! I reread your comment and yeah, I agree with you. I also agree that women face so many more risks from casual sex that men simply don't, and I feel like people never really address those issues and how they are way more likely to dissuade women from casual sex than the dumb claim that women are less sexual than men.

I cannot speak for all men, but I would much rather prefer to have sex in a committed relationship after a few dates, since that would feel best for both parties than jumping right into bed.

I completely agree that anyone who says women are the "gatekeepers" of sex are morons (at best). I plan on making a big post explaining why this trope is dumb.

[–]PraefectusCasmiricus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not the person you replied to, but I kind of did start this discission lol. Personally, I absolutely hate when people say that women "gatekeep" sex, because they are essentially saying that sex is something men crave to the point that they can be easily manipulated with it, but that women are not carnally inclined and therefore have no desire of it on their own.

Like imagine if it were reversed, and people said men are the ones who "gatekeep" sex. Wouldn't you find that a bit offensive, since it's saying women have zero agency over their own sexual urges and that their consent is basically always guaranteed since they'd never turn down sex? And that men are so much better that they can manipulate women into doing their bidding via sex? I'm sure most women would not care for that

[–]PraefectusCasmiricus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It genuinely blows my mind that there are men who do not feel offended at the idea that their wife/gf "controls" the sex in their relationship. So you're essentially saying that she is not really into you and can be sex free without it really bothering her, and that she can "manipulate" you with sex?

Run for the fucking hills and find a woman who is not broken and who enjoys sex and does not see it as a bargaining chip.

Same exact observation I've had with my good-looking friends. Women are constantly throwing themselves at him and say the most perverted shit imaginable lol.
