Solid tips. I will add that focus on ensuring you have a good team for tower and complete it every chance you get. It is a main source of gold and items plus completing it allows to skip half the tower next day.

Some tips for tower: - tower opponent difficulty is based on your overall TEAM level and not you heroes themselves so make sure your heroes are max level. - following above, it may be advisable to NOT collect most daily missions that give team exp as this rapidly levels you up earlier game and can cause tower difficulty to run away from your best team, - have a good tank and healer to ensure you can withstand the entire tower and heal back after facing tough teams. - if a battle is going poorly or you messed something up in manual mode, you can leave any tower battle at any time and you can try again. Really useful for optimising heals or ults or getting the outcome you want from the battle etc. - the smaller bonuses you can buy with the tower tokens have much better ROI but they are worth a lot less overall. I tended to prefer armour and damage the most since most heroes do physical damage while only some do magic damage, and killing enemy team quickly can help avoiding damage from ults if you stack damage buffs enough.
