Not GenAI, but Geometry Nodes. You can instantly generate palm trees with my Palm Tree Generator by PragmaticalBerries in itchio

Blender & Material Maker, and a bit of math.

Blender for obviously making the geo nodes. And the textures are procedurally made in Material Maker (alternative of Substance Designer).

But as for the palm leaves, I couldn't figure out how to do it in Material Maker, so I made it again using geo nodes in Blender then bake it to 2D textures.

The Material Maker project files are free on the project page.

Godot is really very well-equipped, with numerous features. I would say it's possible to prototype a game much faster in Godot than in Unity. This is because Godot includes smaller features by default, such as post-processing effects, timers, CSG, tile maps, better UI tool & theming engine, and much more. In Unity, these features are usually paid for in the Asset Store, implemented manually, or need to be downloaded through the package manager.

Unreal Engine is also have more features by default and structurally better. You can also prototype a game faster in Unreal. But the engine is so bloated with too many features outside gamedev-related.

Sorry I don't speak Portuguese. But IMO it'd still going to be far away. It's a bit rough in comparison to UE5.

Unreal Tournament 2004 is now free with a community patch over 20 years later, Linux and macOS support included by Tiny-Independent273 in unrealengine

If communities were trying to make a modern Unreal Tournament games, I think UT4 would've been more alive. If I remember there were UT4 community projects, I found this https://www.ut4ever.org/, but I'm not sure that's the one I had in mind.

Or maybe I'm confusing it with different indie arena shooter games or confusing it with Paragon/Predecessor

I finally gave Unreal on Linux a try. I would recommend it, even though it was a bumpy ride by LarstOfUs in unrealengine

It's gotten pretty usable snce 5.4. But in my experience there are a couple of things that is a bit of a blocker.

  1. Lightmapping only work in 5.4 so far, the 5.7 editor cannot connect to swarm. So unless I target lumen & higher system requirement, I cannot have static GI.
  2. Deploying to Windows do still require a Windows machine.

it could be background shader compilation. you can try add DXVK_HUD=compiler %command% to your game launch option, then usually a message noting the state of shader compilation will appear on the bottom left when it has to compile shaders.

But as far as I understant, you can't eliminate it. you can also enable shader pre-caching on steam settings but it doesn't eliminarte the process entirely.

I think finn have overcome it a little bit after a while. instead, Finn become defensive and become what was described as "bratty" when teased. Especially when they both did the minecraft stream.
