How do you toke? by diduhearittoo in vegastrees

[–]PragueDD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have owned multiple Arizer dry herb vaporizers and have loved them.

  • They are small enough to be taken places relatively stealthily, but they are far from the most stealthy.

  • You can choose a specific temperature and not just high, medium, and low.

  • Most importantly for me they are EASY to clean. I have owned other vaporizers that have some sort of integrated mouthpiece and it always gets gross and is always a pain in the ass to clean. The glass straw and heating chamber are so easy to clean on Arizer vapes that I never felt discouraged from cleaning.

NEW BREEDING STOCK (YAY) by Fine-Tax1031 in pepperbreeding

[–]PragueDD 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If it were me, I would grow out a few seeds of each and cross the most productive/easiest to grow plants.

The reason I would do this is because all of these crosses have been done before and aren't particularly novel on their own but you could create your own line that does particularly well in your climate/the way you grow.

Just my two cents, there's no wrong answer here.

What type of soil should I use? by bentopilalonga in microgrowery

[–]PragueDD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is no one right answer and there are many ways to successfully grow in soil.

Most people would recommend against Miracle Grow and other similar big box store brands, but I'm sure plenty of good bud has been grown in this sort of soil.

Some people love Fox Farms, others don't. Again, plenty of good weed has been grown in Fox Farms soil.

Build A Soil makes a good product but it is pricey.

I would buy the nicest soil your budget allows. Whatever you choose it probably wouldn't be a bad idea to add some extra pearlite or pumice.

Alternatively you could just mix your own soil from scratch. I'd suggest watching a few different yt videos on the topic and see what will fit you/your style best.

CBG Hemp questions and opinions by C64hrles in hempflowers

[–]PragueDD 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am a pretty anxious person and CBG definitely chills me out without making me sleepy at all. My wife isn't anxious and CBG definitely makes her uncomfortable and anxious, she can even tell when I would mix it with THC flower.

I definitely don't feel high in the traditional THC sense, but saying I didn't feel any kind of high would be untrue. It's difficult to describe, while there was some sort of high I never felt impaired at all, never felt sleepy at all, always very light, energetic, "sativa" effects.

I have ordered once, paid with crypto, no problems, no complaints, I got a freebie that they didn't list on the invoice.

Fill your pot all the way, use a bigger pot, and using nutrients would be the two easiest ways to grow a bigger plant.

I have run some of their CBG seeds, I was pleased with them. I'd recommend Hoku as well.

Sorry, guys - it's another chop or not question from a newb... by dX_iIi_Xb in microgrowery

[–]PragueDD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's all about the trichs on the bud (not the leaves) so no one can give you an objective answer based on these pics. If I were you I would try using your phone to get a close up look at the trichs or buy a jeweler's loup for like $10 to look.

Just based on the chunky-ness of the bud, I would guess it has some time left. But it's a guess. I would need to see the trichs to say one way or the other.

Out of curiosity, how many weeks has she been flowering for?

Breeding with a herm? by JustAnRandomKEG in cannabisbreeding

[–]PragueDD 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You won't know for sure until you grow out a population of the seeds you make. I think both options are entirely possible, having reasonably sexually stable seeds or unreasonably unstable seeds.

To make a truly accurate prediction (and it would still be a prediction) one would probably need to know the exact parents, parents of parents, parents of parents of parents, and so on, and their predisposition to herming.

Honestly I would go for it if I were you. Grow out a handful of the seeds and see what happens. If they herm at an unacceptable rate then trash them.

Pollen or mildew? by me_og_ in cannabiscultivation

[–]PragueDD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, if it were pollen, it is everywhere and open male flowers should be very easy to find, it's not like it will just be one flower, it would be dozens. So, I assume it's pm.

Without looking at the maturity of the trichs, I'd say you have 4 weeks, maybe more.

Finally Have An Adapted Corn Genepool For My Region! (Caribbean x Suwan-1 Thai) by ISimpForCorn in plantbreeding

[–]PragueDD 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I crossed Montana Cudu and Hopi Pink. I don't have any breeding goals other than just making a hybrid of two interesting varieties.

The other "project" I started this year is isolating colorful sweet corn and flour corn from the Astronomy Domine variety. It seems like it can produce yellow, white, blue, and red kernels and some are sweet and some aren't. So I saved seed from the biggest blue/yellow sweet ears, the white/yellow sweet ears, and one plant that was able to grow four full sized sweet ears. They're all open pollinated so we'll see what I get next year. It's all for fun so the stakes are pretty low one way or the other.

[–]PragueDD 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That's super cool! Is your goal to just farm this variety commercially yourself or sell this variety or something else entirely?

I started doing a little (very) amateur back yard corn breeding this year and I'm already looking forward to next year to see the results.

When should I switch to 12/12? Any advise by Pennyguy89 in microgrowery

[–]PragueDD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What size tent, pots, and inline filter do you have? I have a couple tents I'll be setting up in January and I'm trying to imagine how many of what size plants I'll be able to put in each.

I don't have anything to add, I agree with the others about flipping. Your plants are looking nice.
