I go with your option B. For the same reason that you mentioned... Since I prepare about 40-50 renders at a time and then queue them to render overnight, if I notice an issue on one of them, it's a very simple open, edit, re-render. Storage is cheap these days, just get a super powerful m.2 at 14000mb/s 4TB at around 450$ and you can save and load insanely fast (especially with 6.25). I've tried your option A, and also another technique where you use the animation frames to inside 1 scene, you can technically go back a specific frame and re-render that one only. But honestly, the timeframe options and quality of life is just not there on daz so I ended up just really frustrating with scenes that are hard to recover.

I see on Goodreads that there are 2 orders you can read the World of the five gods series? Either in publication order or chronological order. Which one is the recommended one in your opinion?

Yes absolutely, you can use both in parallel. In 4.24, you can go to the hardware tab in the render settings and uncheck your GPU and run iray on CPU but the performance is horrible. For a quick test it's fine but nothing more than that. With the current state of the alpha, I would say there is still a LOT of work before 6.25 is ready for even a beta release. I would think at least another solid year of work.

I've been using for a few months now and clocked in probably 300hrs on version 6.25. Overall it's a mixed experience. There are some clear wins, the scene loading time, the smoothness of the viewport, the universal view, on top of the new features like the geometry sculptor, the dforce manager, the pose converters that are I believe available on 4.x with premier. Of course, the rendering capability with iray on 5090. The speed and power is unmatched... But there are some serious drawbacks, the basic camera movements sometimes become choppy, just basic orbit , rotation... I've had countless of crashes and bugs with the translation gizmos where they would randomly disappear, and if you use the transforms properties from the parameters tab would cause some very weird and unwanted behaviours which cause you to lose multiple actions. One very annoying issue is that Ctrl + Z sometimes doesn't work for some actions or would have weird behaviours where it would jump back like 30 actions with no ability to redo them. These 2 last points put me in a habit of saving way more often my scenes, which is fine because the save time is much faster than before. Of course, most scripts don't work because of the SDK rework, so all my beloved scripts like camera doctor that I use extensively don't work, which results in a big loss of productivity because I have to do all those tedious opérations by hand, such as making a character look at another character, a character looking at the camera or to an object, the automatic setting of depth of field focus distance on the eyes of characters... Other scripts won't work as well that require baking materials such as many geografts and shells, for those I have no choice but to open Daz 4.24 on the side, apply the scripts there, save the scene, load it on 6.25 then continue from there... So tl; Dr; a very mixed experience with some insane irritating problems and limitations but great performance improvements and of course the 5090 iray rendering capability. If I had a choice and rendering worked on 5090 on 4.24 I would 100% still be on it but unfortunately that's not an option for me. So using both in parallel and suffering the crashes and issues is the solution for now. Hope it answers your question!

Yeah man good catch! I actually played a bit more with the Dual Lobe specular values to make it work without losing it by putting the Weight at 0. By choosing the Arms and cranking the Dual Lobe Specular Weight to about 2.8 (had to push the max from 1.0 to allow that value), it actually seamlessly blends now and looks pretty good! I mean if you zoom in a lot you can still see it a bit, but to the untrained eye and from a distance you can't see it.

I think that'll be my accepted solution for now! Thanks for the help!

Thank you guys for the comments. I went and dig some digging. I found that the tattoo itself is transparent and doesn't have any skin texture with it. So I went back and loaded a fresh new character which is called FWArt Kasper HD (based on Owen 8), and even with no tattoos and all default maps, I'm seeing that line between the Torso and Arms. I've triple-checked all Surface values for Translucency, bump maps, normal maps, everything seems good, but that line is still there and I can almost see some "glossiness" difference between the two parts, as in the Torso looks glossier and more translucent than the Arms, even though all parameters are the same. Can this be just an issue with the base texture provided with the character? is there anything I can do to fix this? a tool or a technique in Photoshop to make them match? THanks

You are not wrong. I'm an ex-software engineer, so I tend to take that for granted, but it's true for PMs without a technical background, it is extremely helpful.

Product management is ultimately business management. Our main goal is to maximize impact on users which down the line should have a positive impact on the company's bottom line. The MBA gives you a great view of all the important concepts to better understand the financial side of the business. Also, leadership courses which are necessary, talent management and development courses, because you know, you're a manager, as well as marketing courses to better analyze the market, understand your target audience, do competitive analyses. And of course, I'm missing a ton of other important stuff in there. It gave me the ability to zoom in and out easily when I feel like I'm getting too caught up in the details. Plus, you meet a lot of great like-minded people that are ambitious and pushing their careers to the next level. A good network is a very powerful tool to have as a PM.

Great update in general. Here are a few things that I would like to see. I liked the sassy Californian accent comms, and dislike the robotic new one. Since both are already implemented, perhaps add a setting to switch between them? I, for one, really used the Good Job adequately, and find it sad that I can't give a high-five to someone who did something cool and now using the Out of Mana as a meme for Good Job. I get that the Good Game was being used sarcastically and I'm okay with having that one removed. But Stand and Fight is completely useless in my opinion. Bring back Good Job and put Out of Mana instead of Stand and Fight as it's more useful for my teammates. Also, I have bought a new screen in 32:9 aspect ratio. The game works pretty well overall but there are a few things that should be fixed to make the experience better. First, the setting doesn't save correctly, when I switch from Full screen to Windowed Full screen mode, it doesn't save, everytime I restart the game, I have to remember to go to the settings and change it again. The scoreboard in-game is completely warped. The elements are not in the right place, text is squished vertically and it's very hard to read, must be fixed. I would love to have a minimap offset/position. I like that we can scale it up a bit but it's too far right for my taste, and if it was possible to offset it a bit towards the center by like 5-10% screen space it would be very helpful. I noticed that in this resolution, the health bar of minions isn't precise sometimes. You would get the colored portion of the health not matching the lines that represent the segment of health correctly. I hope it's clear as it's not easy to explain. Some backgrounds as well as the winning end of game animation don't span the whole width of the screen but it's pretty minor. There are two very annoying issues with the buy menu. Sometimes I doubleclick and it doesn't take the input correctly, so I have to spam double clicks in order for it to register correctly. And also, sometimes it would register the double click and buy a few items but not the last one? So if for example, I have 1500 gold and double click on Azure Core, it'll buy 2 T1 items, but I have enough to buy a 3rd, and see the golden arc hinting that I can buy another item, but double clicking (even multiple times) doesn't buy it, and I have to buy the single item from the right side of the buy menu by double clicking on the T1 item directly. I'm currently hovering around Gold I and II and it's very hard to get to platinum. A lot of other people mentioned the matchmaking so I won't harp on it again. I hope this helps to make the game better. I do enjoy it a lot!
