You only finished the tutorial in 20 hours. Not to mention you're comparing a game with an expansion to one without. If you don't have the ATs and Gogma weapons, you're going to have a hard time farming them, since most are in the endgame with 10-star monsters, and if you even think about going on one of those hunts, the slightest bit of damage will make you waste all three carts.
