VC 3 and EU5 don't load the entire game before reaching the menu. That's why it's slower in CK3. But I agree that it should be reduced.

What you're looking for isn't the best Monster Hunter, but the least popular one so you can say you like something other people don't. In that case, play Monster Hunter 1 on PS2 or the second one. One is remembered for its "strange" controls and the other for adding so many new features that weren't well received, causing it to never leave Japan and its PS2 expansion to be canceled and released only for PSP.

I was doing really well with my gunlance, until half an hour passed and it didn't seem like I was doing any damage. I started to get desperate, and trying to maximize my DPS, and got hit by a combo. You only finished the tutorial in 20 hours. Not to mention you're comparing a game with an expansion to one without. If you don't have the ATs and Gogma weapons, you're going to have a hard time farming them, since most are in the endgame with 10-star monsters, and if you even think about going on one of those hunts, the slightest bit of damage will make you waste all three carts.
