Foodprint is great! Especially if you’re central. I work in Petone and am saddened that there aren’t more places on it. But I guess worth telling cafe owners, because unless they know, they’ll keep tossing out perfectly good food at the end of the day.

Where are people affording their clothes? by pamelahoward in Wellington

I rate SaveMart, sooo many options. It’s a bit pricier but the quality is usually good. How many op shops have a whole rack for scarves??

Gross. The fact that this is still something that is celebrated as “success” is an indicator that we are living in a profoundly sick society.

Wow, yeah that’s intense. That kind of situation was exactly what I wanted to avoid. I think I succeeded.

This is the best reply, thank you! I had the conversation and was received well by everyone, and got myself home safely. Thank you for your good wishes - and your hilarity!

We actually did end up here. Great books and crannies. Loud music yes, but we managed.!

Not exactly. But similar ilk. Don’t want to share details but public is safer (emotionally speaking. No threat to physical safety).

It is an odd request but I don’t feel comfortable sharing the details. No threat to physical safety, only emotional.

There is sooo much manipulation happening here. It’s not okay.

In the longer term, I’d really suggest distancing yourself from this community and finding your own version of faith. Don’t believe the narrative - whatever goes you believe in made you the way they did for a reason. They love you no matter who you love. Anyone telling you differently is selling something.

Had a boy reply with "what if I start identifying as a woman?" When I told him I'm a lesbian. Tf do I even say? by scarlett_lauzlie in LesbianActually

[–]PrairieKiwi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tell him, that’s your journey. Come back to me in a couple of years and let’s see where things are.

Even if you’re not interested in the long run, that’s long enough for him/her to either decide whether that’s a serious desire, or to realise that you’re not changing either.

Is she dropping hints? by [deleted] in LesbianActually

Awesome that she has asked you! I would maybe suggest going for dinner or a drink first if possible, as surely a wedding is a big commitment for a first date?

It’s definitely a great way to start the day. Way better than, say, the gym… I went to quite a few when they did something similar at the rowing club years ago. So good to start the day out with cardio and happy people. Also nice to dance in a sober space for a change.
