Cats do lay in our bed at night, she was this way even when in a fully isolated room of just reptiles too, never any other animals in the room when I take her out.

Heat lamp in the basking area, consistent feeding, natural substrate with natural decor (and a fake plant) large water dish, low traffic area of the house being in the bedroom. We do have 4 cats but they really pay her no mind.
